Here's how to get your mitts on the coolest looking gear in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the Outdoorsy tools. relies heavily on its new crafting mechanic. Unlike previous entries, players can now craft furniture and tools as they see fit. However, there is a special set of tools that cannot be crafted — instead, they're only available for purchase. Here's how to get your mitts on the coolest looking gear in the game, the Outdoorsy tools.

Upgrade Nook s Cranny

Before you can set eyes on the Outdoorsy tools, you'll first have to upgrade Nook's Cranny. This is a time-consuming process but doesn't require much effort. First, you'll have to be a frequent customer and spend/earn over 200,000 Bells at the shop. It's an easy target to hit if you're playing daily, and you shouldn't have to go out of your way to complete this task. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY However, the other requirement is the one that's much more restrictive — you'll need to have lived on your island for at least 30 days. You can try to time-travel, but simply traveling 30 days into the future won't work. New Horizons tracks the days you set foot on the island, so you'll have to time travel to every single day between now and thirty days in the future. Check Out The Cabinet

Once Nook's Cranny has been upgraded, head on over and check out the cabinet near the check-out counter. You'll notice that not only does the shop now carry a much larger inventory, but some of the items are completely new products! These include the Outdoorsy fishing rod, watering can, net, and axe. Each item can be purchased for 2,500 Bells and — besides looking cool — aren't any better than your regular fishing rod. Still, it's a great way to show your achievement of upgrading Nook's Cranny and to show off your excellent fashion sense. These items are uncraftable, so be prepared to drop a load of Bells if you plan to stick exclusively to the Outdoorsy gear set.
