Animal Crossing 10 Animals That Have Yet To Be Made Into Villagers

Animal Crossing has introduced a range of animals as villagers. Here are 10 animals that haven't been made into villagers yet. Via: Nintendo With over 400 different villagers present in , it is surprising that some of the more popular animals are missing from the game. The series has everything from hamburger sheep to panda bears. Even so, it seems that Nintendo has shied away from some would-be popular animal designs. Tons of fans have had discussions over the years about what species they would love to see living in their town. While some of these wishes were fulfilled in like Zucker the octopus, others are left waiting. Below we have a list of ten animals that have yet to be made into villagers. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Sphynx Cat

There are a ton of cat villagers and cat designs in the game. There is Ankha, an Egyptian themed cat, and Raymond, a business cat who loves to dress like a maid. However, rare breeds like the Persian and Sphynx cats have yet to make an appearance. This is a bit perplexing, given the wide range of special breeds already in the game. Also, a Sphynx cat could be one of the few characters who has to wear pants, which would be endearing.

Red Panda

Red Pandas are undoubtedly some of the most popular animals in existence. The animals have long been a popular attraction at zoos, and Sanrio even produced a show based around an angry red panda named Retsuko. This villager would fit right in with the special characters in the Animal Crossing series. A Red Panda could also easily be used as a DIY salesman in the game series or could join the bear family.

Bearded Dragon

While Bearded Dragons have only become more in recent years, the lack of reptiles is still a little strange. With the exclusion of crocodiles, there aren't really any scaley villagers. This is a bit surprising since there are so many reptile lovers around the world. Drago could easily be used for a starting point for a Bearded Dragon design and a new reptile animal group.

Chinchilla

Via: nookipedia.com Another animal that could easily be added to the game is a Chinchilla. Chinchillas would fit in well under the squirrel group and would be highly sought-after villagers. Given the Chinchilla's nature, they would make excellent snooty or jock villager types. They could even go with a cute or pastel design. Chinchillas would be easy to add as a villager and would also make a great Amiibo card.

Dinosaur

Literally any dinosaur would be a welcome addition to the Animal Crossing series. There wouldn't even be a lot to work from depending on what species of dinosaur with which the team decided to work. Having a mini Tyrannosaurus Rex drink a cup of tea with you is an opportunity for which most players would beg. Just think about how wonderful it would be to have a raptor running through your plaza.

Fennec Fox

Fennec foxes are another species of animal that has gained a lot of positive reactions in previous years. A fennec fox would be a great counter for Redd, who is one of the sketchiest characters in the game. The fennec fox could act as a rare art fan or even be an artist themselves. Either way, the fennec fox would be an adorable addition to the world.

European Dragon

Animal Crossing already has a unicorn villager, so why not a European dragon? The villager could easily be based on Apollo's model, just with scales instead of feathers and more reptilian looking wings. The dragon could even joke around with you about being able to breathe fire. The dragon could even be a hard-to-get villager to match his mythical status.

Degu

There are plenty of mouse in the game, but a degu would be an interesting pick. Degus are wild animals that have short ears like a hamster and furry tales like a gerbil. This would make for an interesting-looking villager that would easily fit in with the rest of the quirky cast. The Degu could even have a South American-themed home or use rock furniture.

Bernese Mountain Dog

There are tons of dogs in the game, but they are limited to a handful of breeds. None of these breeds really include droopy faces or eyes, which is a bit disappointing for lovers of giant breeds. Introducing a new line of dog villagers that included the Mountain Dog would be a breath of fresh air. Most players would even be open to breeds like the Chihuahua or Hound to be added to the roster.

Capybaras

Capybaras are strange animals that are occasionally kept as pets. They look like a cross between a giant hamster and a beaver. This makes them the perfect choice to join the series quirky cast of villagers. Capybaras would even be a good choice for the lazy personality group. They would even make an interesting special character. A Capybara could even be in charge of a new type of contest or own their own shop.
