Having a strong battalion for each of your characters is an important step to military conquest. That being said it can be hard to decide which ones to use; there are a lot of options and their availability depends on the Authority you have. This isn’t the strongest battalion in the game by any means, but they make the list by being the strongest D Authority Rank which is great for players who are still or some students have fallen behind. They offer a boost of four Attack, five Hit, 10 Avoid, two Protection, and three Resistance. They also provide the Gambit Assembly that has an interesting effect. After attacking a unit it will move the entire team back one tile and drag the enemy one tile into that now empty space, this is a great way to disrupt enemy formations or enable follow up attacks. Jeralt s Mercenaries are similar to the Alliance Pegasus Company in that they’re useful for players who aren’t ranking up their Authority. At E Rank they’re really easy to obtain and come with a three Attack, 10 Critical, and 15 Avoid boost. Those last two stat boosts are what make this a solid choice well into the midgame if you can’t get anything better. Their Gambit is Assault Troop which lets them charge down a group of foes and deal damage two times in battle. If you aren’t raising Authority stats on some of your or it’s taking a while this is a great battalion to assign them. Empire Holy Magic Users
This battalion is great for characters that are primarily light magic users like Priests or Bishops. They offer a stat boost of six to Magic, four to Protection, and seven to Resistance. This gives a strong boost to offense while providing some protection from attacks. Their Gambit, Blessing, will allow allies to potentially survive lethal damage leaving them with one HP. This can only be used one time but it’s a literal life saver if you make a mistake or a powerful attack gets through. They require a B rank Authority. Empire Elite Wyvern Company
The Empire elite Wyvern Company are a group of Wyvern riders that obviously go well with a Wyvern Rider or Lord. They provide a stat boost of eight to Attack, 10 to Critical, and six to Protection. A unit attached to this battalion will get some great offense with a bit of durability making them a solid choice. They have the Assembly Gambit which as mentioned before will attack an enemy and while moving backward drag the enemy into their spot. This is great for disruption and follow-up attacks. Holy Knights Of Seiros
The Holy Knights Of Seiros are best paired with mounted units like Cavaliers, Paladins, or Great Knights. They offer seven to Attack, five to Protection, and seven to Resistance. They’re very mobile tanks that can keep their assigned unit alive in combat. Their Gambit is Assault troop a brutal charge attack that will deal a good amount of damage to units in a specific area. They require a B rank Authority. Cichol Wyvern Company
This is probably the most powerful Wyvern battalion in the game thanks to a stat boost of seven Attack, 15 Hit, 15 Critical, five Avoid, six Protection, and one Resistance. When the unit they’re attached to hits something they’ll hit hard. Their Gambit Assault Troop will also let them swoop in on an enemy group and attack them two times in battle. It’s a nice perk that helps, but the stat boost is why you choose this group of soldiers. It’s an A rank Authority. Black Eagle Pegasus Company
Black Eagle Pegasus Company is a powerful battalion to have on your side. They provide a boost of seven Attack, 10 Critical, 10 Avoid, five Protection, and seven Resistance. That mix of offense and defense is incredible in battle. They also have the Retribution Gambit which allows allies to counterattack outside of their range for five turns with 100 Hit. Between the great stat boost and a punishing Gambit you’ll find the unit with this battalion carving up opponents and only walking away with a few scratches. This is an A rank Authority. Vestra Sorcery Engineers
Vestra Sorcery Engineers rank so high because they are probably one of the most durable battalions you can obtain in the game. They have stat boosts of seven Magic, 10 Avoid, four Protection, and six Resistance which is great for glass cannon units or durable types you want to turn into impenetrable walls. They come with the Resonant Lightning Gambit which can be used one time to deliver a powerful blast of lightning to a wide area. This is surprisingly a C rank Authority. King Of Lions Corps
If you have a Fortress Knight, Great Knight, or similar unit you will definitely want to pair them with the King of Lions Corps. They have stat boosts of 10 Physical, five Hit, 15 Critical, five Protection, and unfortunately negative five Avoid. You want this on someone who doesn’t mind taking a beating as every hit will strike. But that 10 to Physical means your unit will do some serious damage. The Gambit Wave Attack is also powerful as it can be used repeatedly and will send Lancers to deal extra damage against armored units in an area. It’s also only a C rank Authority. Immortal Corp
The Immortal Corp is a battalion of archers that can pepper units from afar or drop the mightiest of fliers. They provide eight Attack, 15 Avoid, and four Protection making them the best battalion for ranged fighters. Their Gambit Ashes And Dust is also powerful as it’s an AOE attack that’s effective against fliers and can be used twice in battle. This battalion is a favorite among many players and is also surprisingly a C rank Authority.
