New Pokémon Snap 10 Pokémon Who Would Be A Great Final Level

The announcement of a new Pokémon Snap is still pretty fresh, but we're already thinking of which Pokémon would be perfect for the final level. With the surprise announcement of , fans of Pokémon old and new were ecstatic that a new entry to the games was coming soon, especially considering it's been more than twenty years since the original game. The final level of holds a special place in people's hearts, as they were able to snap a picture of the elusive Mew, who has its own designated level with no other creatures to be seen. With the addition of dozens of new Legendary and Mythical Pokémon since the first generation, the final level of the game could be used to highlight newer entries in the series. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Eternatus

As the newest gimmick in the mainline series is , a phenomenon powered by the Legendary Pokémon Eternatus, it's easy to see how New Pokémon Snap could incorporate this terrifying beast as the final level creature. Unlike the final level of the original Pokémon Snap, this could be a good opportunity not only for players to snap a picture of Eternatus, but also Dynamax and Gigantamax versions of Pokémon that have been snapped in past levels.

Jirachi

The Mew clone Mythical Pokémon of generation four, Jirachi could open up the level design of New Pokémon Snap to not only include the normal water, volcano, cave, and forest levels, but also some based in space. This new setting could also be a way to look back at the original space-faring Pokémon, Clefairy, which is fabled to have come from the moon. Clefairy and Jirachi aren't the only Pokémon from space that could be introduced into New Pokémon Snap, either.

Deoxys

In the Delta Episode of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, players are sent on a quest that ends with them facing down a meteor hurtling towards the earth while riding on the back of . This is no normal space rock, and it turns out to be Deoxys encased in stone. Not only was this one of the best post-game missions in all of Pokémon, but also presents a unique opportunity for players of New Pokémon Snap to ride on the back of a Rayquaza in space.

Rayquaza

Not only could riding on the back of Rayquaza through space make a good final level, but climbing up the Sky Pillar to reach it at the end of the track could be an amazing way to end the game. Considering the kinds of Pokémon that appear in the Sky Pillar in both the mainline games and the series, it could open the door for players to snap pictures of more than one rare Pokémon in the final level.

Arceus

As the so-called creator of every Pokémon in existence, it makes sense for Arceus to be the last Pokémon players can snap in the game. Most likely, Arceus would appear like Mew in the original game and be a solo creature that players would have to work hard to get a good picture of, though it could also appear beside Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina as the creators of space, time, and antimatter.

Hoopa

With the sheer number of Legendary Pokémon that are now in the Pokémon franchise, it would be near impossible for each one to have its own level in which they appear like the original . A way around this would be to use Hoopa's portals, similar to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, where each run through the level can be through a different portal that leads to a different Legendary Pokémon. If this was utilized, it makes sense that Hoopa would be the "final portal" once all others have been run through.

Lugia

Although Pokémon Snap had a beach level, the entire run was done on the shore. New Pokémon Snap could change this with an underwater level, allowing players to snap the ridiculous amount of that are now in the series. As Lugia lives at the bottom of the ocean, it could be found inside a hidden cave underwater just like it was in generation two. If not Lugia, it could also be a way to interact with Kyogre and Groudon, who also appear underground.

Celebi

One of the best side stories in the mainline Pokémon games is the Celebi event in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, which not only expands on Giovanni, but the rival character as well. Celebi's time-traveling mechanic could not only open up the game to different areas, but also to classic levels from the original Pokémon Snap. Celebi could be a unique final level in that it wouldn't be unlocked unless players had run through theoretical classic levels beforehand.

Mewtwo

Although from Pokémon Snap, was one that didn't make much sense in the scope of the series. Essentially being the final boss in Pokémon Red and Blue, it has remained a major fan favorite since its creation, particularly due to the first Pokémon film. As one of the few Legendary Pokémon capable of changing forms, this also presents a reason for players to run through the level multiple times to snap the three different forms of Mewtwo.

Mew

It's no secret that the Pokémon franchise is somewhat obsessed with nostalgia, and Game Freak has made it clear that the generation one games are their favorites with the amount of fan service they give that generation. As the original final level Pokémon, there is a strong chance that will return in its Rainbow Cloud as the final level in much the same way it did in the original Pokémon Snap.
