Destiny 2 How To Get The Blacksmith Title Before It Gets Vaulted

The Scourge of the Past is raid retiring from Destiny 2 soon, and the Blacksmith title is going with it. Here's how to earn it before it gets vaulted! Titles are a long-term aspirational pursuit for hardcore players to chase in . Players that go above and beyond completing challenges in certain activities will get a unique title to display under their name. They're meant for the most dedicated of players, but the inclusion of the Destiny Content Vault (DCV for short) means many of these titles will be sunset when Beyond Light launches. With the Scourge of the Past raid retiring soon, the Blacksmith title will no longer be obtainable. Here is everything players will need to do to obtain the Blacksmith title in Destiny 2 before it gets vaulted this fall. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Obtain The Black Armory Badge

Nearly every title in Destiny 2 requires players to earn a badge. For the Black Armory badge, players will need to obtain every Forge weapon, armor piece, and shader. Since Black Armory received many changes , crafting every weapon and armor piece is easier than ever. As for the shaders, players will need to craft weapons or armor at certain Forges that rotate daily. Rasmussen Clan drops from the Volundr Forge, House of Meyrin drops from Gofannon, Satou drops from the Izanami Forge, and the Bergusian Night shader drops from the Bergusia Forge. Refurbished Black Armory has a rare chance of dropping from dismantled open-world Forge guns.

Forge 100 Guns

The last item players will need to complete the badge is to obtain The Platinum Starling ship. Obtaining this ship requires the player to craft 100 Black Armory weapons at Forges. The weapons and Forges in question don't matter. The Bergusia Forge is arguably the easiest of the four available Forges, especially if players have the Fallen armor mods from the Scourge of the Past raid.

Defeat Forge Enemies With Black Armory Weapons

What good would Forge weapons be if players weren't encouraged to use them? Four Triumphs tied to Blacksmith require players to use their newly found weapons at certain Forges. The Master Blaster Triumph requires 500 kills with Jotunn at the Volundr Forge, Clean Up on Aisle Five requires 500 kills at Bergusia, Beautiful but Deadly requires 500 Le Monarque kills at Gofannon, and Reunited Siblings requires 500 Izanagi's Burden kills at the Izanami Forge.

Craft Weapons At Specific Forges

Originally, weapons from Black Armory were tied to certain Forges and could only be crafted at their respective Forge. This restriction has been lifted in Shadowkeep, which means the next two Triumphs are the easiest to earn for this title. Both the EDZ Black Armory Smith and Nessus Black Armory Smith Triumphs requires players to craft 3 and 4 weapons respectively at Forges . Since the restriction on weapon crafting has been lifted, players just need to complete 3 EDZ Forges and 4 Nessus Forges with a bounty frame in their inventory for both Triumphs to complete.

Bounty Triumphs

Fans of have made it clear . Unfortunately, players will need to complete a handful of bounties to obtain the Blacksmith title, some of which are hard to obtain. The first bounty Triumph named Black Armory Bounty Hunter requires 30 Ada-1 bounty completions. Both daily and weekly bounties count towards this limit. Players with 3 characters can complete this Triumph in two days. Unfortunately, these bounties are the only source of the coveted rare Black Armory bounties that are required for the Guardian of the Black Armory Triumph, which requires 6 special Black Armory bounties to be completed. Complete as many bounties from Ada as possible to maximize the chances of receiving these extraordinarily rare bounties.

A Study In Obsidian

Ada-1 has a hidden quest line for players that they must complete to earn a Triumph tied to Blacksmith. To obtain A Study In Obsidian, players must first obtain the Mysterious Datapad during the Izanagi's Burden Exotic Quest. Once obtained, head to the Niobe Labs right before the Bergusia Forge in the EDZ. Head to the nearby staircase near the center of the room and interact with it. Complete the "Lost Souvenir" quest and then equip a loadout with only Black Armory weapons and armor. Scourge of the Past gear doesn't count. Then, complete a Forge Ignition at each of the 4 Forges and return to Ada-1.

Complete Scourge Of The Past Flawlessly

Via: Destiny Tracker Out of all of the raids to complete flawless in Destiny 2, Scourge of the Past is arguably the easiest of the bunch. Players will need to without any fireteam deaths to obtain the Like a Diamond Triumph. Completing the Sparrow race encounter without dying will take quite a few tries, but besides that players should make sure they take down all Fallen Vandals during the final encounter to prevent sudden deaths. The rest of the raid is relatively easy.

Fast And Unwieldy Triumph

Via: Shacknews Speaking of the Sparrow race, the Fast and Unwieldy Triumph requires a fireteam to escape the Ablazed Glory enemy without dying. For those who don't remember, Ablazed Glory is the flaming Servitor during the second encounter that chases players down a linear path. The best way to do this is to use 160-speed Sparrows and simply practice. Ignore the hidden chest buttons during this encounter if it proves to slow down the fireteam. Players will need to obtain this chest 5 times for the Raider of the Lost Treasure Triumph at some point, though.

To Each Their Own Challenge

Via: Shacknews Besides the Fast and Unwieldy Triumph, the other 3 challenges in Scourge of the Past require players to obtain challenge bounties from Hawthorne in the Tower, meaning players will need to be part of a clan to finish these challenges. To Each Their Own is one of the easiest challenges in the game. During the Insurrection fight in the last encounter, each player can only destroy one shield per damage phase. If a player destroys more than one, the challenge fails. If players don't one-phase the final boss, they must destroy the same shield they did the last phase or it'll also void the challenge. To make this even easier, bring and activate Whispered Breathing to one-shot the designated shield.

Hold The Line Challenge

Hold the Line requires players to complete the first encounter of Scourge of the Past without letting the map clock reach below half. In essence, players need to complete the encounter faster than normal. Players can kill weaker, less-important Berserkers to help charge the map, swap the map reading and charge-dunking teams to keep the Ionized debuff under control, or simply have charge-carriers ride on a friend's Sparrow to speed up this encounter. goes over various Hold the Line strategies in more detail.

All For One One For All Challenge

Via: Polygon By far the hardest challenge in Scourge of the Past is All For One, One For All. During the third encounter, each player needs to obtain every buff at least once. Since there are three buffs—Continous, Angular, and Parallel—this encounter will require 3 damage phases. Designate partners for every player. One player from each duo will head down for the first phase and grab whichever buff they can. Once they dunk, rotate teams so each Guardian's partner is down. Have them grab the same buff their partner did, dunk once more, then take the bosses' health down by a third. From there, send the first team back down and have them grab the next sequential buff in the CAP sequence. For example, if a duo grabbed Continous during the first phase, have that same duo grab Angular for the second phase. If a group grabbed Parallel, they grab Continous, et cetera. Do this 3 times and slay the boss to obtain this difficult Triumph.
