Dungeons and Dragons What Cleric Domain Are You Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Cleric domains in Dungeons & Dragons are as diverse as, well, zodiac signs. So here is each Cleric domain, along with their corresponding zodiac. Your zodiac sign provides lots of insight into your personality. It can also absolutely tell you which Dungeons and Dragons cleric domain you'd serve. RELATED: In the 5th Edition of , when you include all the Unearthed Arcana content and Amonkhet, there are a staggering twenty cleric domains to choose from. Each one drastically alters and provides the cleric with a unique set of advantages along with the handy set of readily prepared domain spells. While twenty options () seem like a lot, using the time-honored tradition of the zodiac, choosing a domain just got a little bit easier. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Aries - War

Being that Aries, or Ares, is the god of war, it is only fitting that someone born under Aries should choose the domain. Are you courageous and determined, yet at times moody, short-tempered and arguably aggressive? The War Domain has you covered. At second level, your Channel Divinity allows you to get a +10 to attack, once per long rest. Getting impatient? So Aries. Luckily, you can always cast Spirit Guardians with no preparation and charge headfirst into battle. Like an Aries.

Taurus - Protection

Dependable and loyal while maybe a bit unyielding and possessive, nothing fits this Earth sign quite like the domain. Being the bull, you'll likely find yourself blitzing the front lines but being a Taurus, who is known to be slow-moving, you probably won't get there first. Fortunately, when the first strikes are made, clerics from the Protection domain can always cast Shield of Faith, which allows them to impose disadvantage on attacks against nearby allies. If the foe is persistent, cloak your allies in radiant armor using your Channel Divinity.

Gemini - Trickery

Also referred to as "the twins," Castor and Pollux, there is no domain suited to the Gemini as well as the domain, if for no other reason than that the trickster cleric can use their Channel Divinity to create a perfect illusion of themselves for up to one minute. Additionally, being able to cast "Carm Person" as a domain spell perfectly aligns with the Gemini's affinity for being the life of the party. Although prone to nervousness, the Gemini is known for roguelike adaptability. At level six, your Channel Divinity allows you to become invisible. Who's nervous now?

Cancer - Tempest

This water sign is known for being intuitive and incredibly sensitive in the positive sense, while still having the capacity for being moody, vindictive and incredibly sensitive on the negative side. The Crab sign would then feel right at home under the Domain. Like a normal cleric, they will be able to heal and play support with the best of them, but if you touch them the wrong way, the offender will likely take 2d8 thunder damage from Wrath of the Storm. In addition to always having AoE nuke spells at the ready, if you really tick off the Cancer Tempest cleric, their Channel Divinity allows them to do maximum damage instead of rolling.

Leo - Order

Known for confidence bordering on arrogance and a knack for leadership, the Leo is apt to find a home in the domain. Right out the gate, an Order cleric has the Voice of Authority ability, which allows them to expend spells slots to order their allies to attack. Coupling that with the fact that the Command spell is always prepared for you, the Leo can at all times, tell everyone what they should be doing, and how they should be doing it.

Virgo - Nature

Down to earth, rooted, animal lovers - these are all traits of the Earth sign, Virgo. What better cleric domain then, than ? The typical Virgo errs on the side of shyness, which is excellent for the Nature domain because all the subclass benefits are geared towards making friends with critters and plants, instead of people. At the same time, Virgos are kind, hardworking and loyal, which they'll need to be if they keep trying to befriend owlbears and flail snails.

Libra - Unity

The symbol for Libra is the scales. They are diplomatic, fair-minded, idealistic and social, while carrying a strong dislike for confrontation. The best domain for a Libra then, is the domain. The Unity domain allows the cleric to bond two creatures together, giving them various bonuses as long as they are near each other. Additionally, their Channel Divinity ability, Shared Burden, allows the cleric to distribute damage between willing creatures once per long rest, which can be a literal godsend for the squishy members of your party. Bringing people together and redistribution; truly, the AOC of cleric domains (yeah, she's a Libra).

Scorpio - Death

If you need a cleric domain that can stand up to the reputation for the mythological creature that killed Orion, then look no further than the dominion. While at once brave, resourceful and passionate, Scorpios have a reputation for aggression, cruelty and even violence. The abilities in the Death domain allow the cleric to target an additional enemy with a necromancy cantrip, add necrotic damage to their weapon attacks with Channel Divinity, and ignore resistance to necrotic damage. One has but to look at the names of such features, like "Reaper," "Touch of Death," and "Inescapable Destruction" to know that while wanton violence is not the Scorpio's immediate go-to, it's always on deck.

Sagittarius - Light

With independence and honesty leading their personality, the Sagittarius will find themselves at home with the domain. Sagittarius is a fire sign, and the Light domain compliments this nicely by providing the cleric with a KFC family-sized bucket of fire spells. Some might say that they can be impatient, easily bored, or even careless, particularly when it comes to small details. The Sagittarius who chooses the Light domain always has the fireball spell prepared, so they won't be saying those things to that particular Sagittarius, who, should they ever feel bored, or impatient, can expedite all scenarios with the aforementioned fireball.

Capricorn - Forge

Capricorns are disciplined, exercise good self-control, responsibility and have an affinity for quality craftsmanship. They favor tradition, practicality and hard work. What other domain would suit them than the domain? In addition to giving the Capricorn cleric the ability to turn any weapon into a +1 magic weapon for a day , with the Forge Domain, your Channel Divinity ability becomes a DIY craft project, which allows you to take an hour to make weapons, ammunition, armor or anything with metal. You are only limited by your imagination. But if you're a Capricorn, you actually might be a bit limited in the imagination department, so when in doubt, make a +1 shield and put a bird on it. A metal bird.

Aquarius - Arcana

With a high mind for advanced philosophical debates, the pursuit of a unique life and far-out creative endeavors, the domain is the obvious choice for the Aquarius. This domain allows the cleric to dip into the wizard spell list, starting with two cantrips, Magic Missile, and Detect Magic. And like most RPGs, things get at the end. At the 17th level, the Arcana cleric gets to choose four very high level wizard spells. They count as cleric spells and are always prepared. This includes a spell called "Power Word: Kill." Does the Aquarius have a reputation for being a bit weird? Yup. Would you call someone with Power Word: Kill constantly prepared, "weird?" Probably shouldn't.

Pisces - Life

Pisces has already been dubbed "" and with good reason. They are deeply intuitive, wise, emotionally sensitive and empathetic. They are a cleric's cleric, and therefore there is no domain worth considering other than the domain. Under this domain, you can heal for days. At level one, you get a bonus to any healing spell you cast and at level two your Channel Divinity ability can be used as a heal. By the time you reach the end game, you don't even roll dice to heal. For the compassionate and gentle Pisces, there really is no better option.
