Animal Crossing 5 Nintendo Characters We d Want As Villagers & 5 We Wouldn t
There are plenty of Nintendo characters who would make great Animal Crossing villagers... Nabbit also exists. There are hundreds of villagers and other animal characters in the series with different looks, personalities, attitudes, and behavior. Some of these characters remind many of other video game characters in part due to their personalities, but also because they have that distinct Nintendo charm. With that said, wouldn't it be cool if other video game characters could become villagers in Animal Crossing? In a dream world where that's possible, here are some great candidates and some that we would never want. Here are the Nintendo characters that would be great (or terrible) in Animal Crossing. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Do Medli
First appearing in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and then coming back to kick butt in Hyrule Warriors, Medli is a young Rito girl who befriends Link on her home island. This kind and personable character turns out to be the Sage of Earth toward the end of the game, awakening to fulfill her duties. Medli actually appeared in the series in an amiibo update for New Leaf. However, this was only a small side appearance and not a full-fledged one. It would be great to see Medli in New Horizons, especially given her proclivity for tropical islands. Don t Kaepora Gaebora
There's another kind bird from the Zelda series, but this one wouldn't make as great a villager as Medli. Kaepora Gaebora is the friendly owl from Ocarina of Time and some other games. He gives Link guidance and tips on what to do next. Players have long-lauded this owl's advice, though, as it seems to go on forever...and ever...and ever. At the end of his speech, many accidentally press "no" when he asks "did you get all that?" making him repeat all of it again. If he were a villager in Animal Crossing, would he talk your ear off there, too? Do Diddy Kong
From the and starring in many of them himself is Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong's best friend and partner. Diddy would make for a great villager — he's fun-loving, happy-go-lucky, playful, and friendly. He loves slapstick humor and is rather animated in his behavior. Diddy would be a super fun villager to make friends with, regardless of whether or not he's with the rest of the DK clan. Don t Wolf O Donnell
Wolf O'Donnell, more commonly known by just Wolf, is a character from Star Fox, serving as one of the main antagonists for the titular character Fox McCloud. He's a bit grouchy, but that stems from his line of work — as a mercenary. Wolf is a cool guy, but he probably wouldn't do well in the idyllic life of a tropical island resident. Sure, it would be fun to see the relaxing lifestyle simmer him down a bit, but he would probably go stir-crazy or frequently fight with the other villagers. Do Nintendogs
Longtime have fans been calling for a , the classic Nintendo game that tasks the player with taking care of a few cute little dogs. These little guys would play with you, run and roll around, and just be generally cute. Maybe an appearance in Animal Crossing would bring them back to us. As Animal Crossing villagers, they'd be adorable. It'd be hard to decide which dog breed to include, but they'd all be great. They have several qualities that Animal Crossing characters have: they're playful, loveable, cute, happy-go-lucky, and affectionate. Plus, it would reintroduce the Nintendogs into our hearts after so many years. Don t Duck Hunt Dog
Also starring in an older series that has persisted through to this day is the Duck Hunt dog. This unnamed character has been added to the Smash Bros. roster, and also has a special place in the hearts of many who grew up playing the original NES. Despite its beloved status, the Duck Hunt dog would not make a great villager. First of all, it hunts ducks, meaning many existing villagers would be terrified of it. Second of all, it's a second dog on the Smash roster alongside Isabelle, so the two probably have a rivalry. Do Pearl and Marina
Like Medli, the lovable pop star hosts of the first Splatoon game, Callie and Marie, made an appearance in the amiibo update of New Leaf. However, rather than appearing as villagers, they would be cosplayed by Cece and Viche. It would be super cool to have some Splatoon representation in Animal Crossing, especially given the fact that the inklings and other characters are animals. However, instead of Callie and Marie, the new hosts, Pearl and Marina, should appear instead. They'd be great as villagers, singing and playing along with K.K. Slider and the town's music. Don t Nabbit
Of all the terrible, evil creatures in the series, the worst to appear in Animal Crossing would probably be Nabbit. This rabbit loves to steal items and play tricks. His mask has a scary drawing of Bowser Jr.'s sharp teeth, making him look somewhat frightening, too. Nabbit would not be nice to the other villagers and most of them would probably hate him. This is not to mention how much work and time you'd lose after Nabbit stole all of your crafted items. Let's keep this purple rabbit far from the Animal Crossing series. Do Meowth
At first glance, the Meowth on Team Rocket in Pokémon is evil. And of course, he's spent his life as a criminal alongside Jessie and James. But, as many know, Meowth is seriously misunderstood. He grew up starving and poor and had to turn to a life of crime out of a lack of choice. He learned to talk in order to survive and belong. Despite their role as antagonists, Team Rocket are easily the most loveable characters in the Pokémon anime. It would be great to see Meowth move in and live the island life, which he's been seen trying to enjoy many times before. Sure, he might cause trouble, but unlike Nabbit, he's not actually bad, just complicated. Don t Mimikyu
Meowth is a Team Rocket member that would be cute and fantastic in Animal Crossing. Mimikyu is a Team Rocket member that would not be. This terrifying Ghost/Fairy-type Pokémon is one of the scariest creatures in the series, and that's saying something, given how awful many Ghost-type Pokédex entries are. It's said that this creature wears a Pikachu costume in order to be loved, but if you look under it, the real appearance will kill you from fright. There's no way this thing could live in the Animal Crossing world. It would be loved by the other villagers, because they're all sweethearts. It would then remove the disguise, no longer needing it to earn affection. Then, everyone would die. Yikes.
