Resident Evil Resistance Tips For New Masterminds
Whether you are new to the beta or simply preparing for when the game launches, employing some simple tips can make it a nightmare for survivors. Via: residentevil.com Resistance, Capcom’s new asymmetric PvP mode in , has been in open beta for nearly a week now and it’s become clear that there are several ways to approach dealing with pesky survivors. Whether you are new to the beta or simply preparing for when the game formally launches, employing some simple tips can make it a nightmare for survivors as they try to escape. Observe The Survivors
Via: residentevil.com The first and most important piece of information to have relates to how the survivors act. Are they moving together, as a team? Are the tanks in the front, and support in the back? Within moments of the beginning of a match, it is easy to spot the coordinated teams from the solo queue players who are working without a plan or without regard for their teammates, and that’s powerful knowledge. Take note if certain survivors like to split from the party – you may be able to quickly kill them later. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Lock The Doors And Turn Off The Lights
Via: techraptor.net It may sound simple, but locking doors frequently is key to slowing down survivor progress, as well as throwing them off the scent. What does a locked door mean to a survivor? There must be a key that is needed on the other side! That may be true, but it also serves as misdirection. More importantly, locking a door buys time to prepare a room. Lay down traps, proximity mines, and crawling zombies. This goes with what was mentioned above, because if one player strays from the team, taking control of a single zombie can result in a quick takedown. This works well as Mastermind Daniel Fabron, since his passive of increased damage with controlled characters as well as vampiric lifesteal provides great value against a lone survivor. Create The Perfect Ambush In Areas 2 And 3
Via: residentevil.com Once Area 2 unlocks, the real fun begins. It is not impossible to win the match in the first area, but it requires an extremely uncoordinated group of survivors who manage to die so often they waste their time due to the respawn penalty. The major change lies in Mr. X becoming available, or whichever ultimate bioweapon one has at their disposal. Early in the beta, a common but wasteful move was to spawn this powerful ultimate ability the moment it is ready. If lucky, a Mastermind might catch a survivor or two off guard and eliminate them. On the other hand, a Mr. X who spawns without planning can just as easily be looped around tables, between rooms, and overall drawn into a long chase that wastes the precious, limited time he is available before dying and resetting his summoning cooldown. Instead, treat the starting cooldown of Mr. X as a countdown for a massive ambush. In the Downtown map, Area 2 contains consoles that need to be accessed by the survivors, and they can be found in rooms with only one way in and out. Via: residentevil.com To begin, lock the door to stall them, turn off the lights, and lay down traps, mines, crawling zombies, and whatever else you may have – then simply wait. Continue adding zombies to this space that the survivors must enter, because once they charge into that dark room and into your traps and zombies, that is the moment to spawn Mr. X outside the door for him to step inside and wipe the entire team out at once. Remember, he costs no energy to summon and only needs to be off his cooldown. The result is always a massive time penalty for the survivors and a demoralizing team wipe. Afterwards, they still need to regroup and take control of that room, which the Mastermind now has even more time to restock with zombies. The Mastermind Is A Deck Building Game So Synergize Your Cards
Via: videogameschronicle.com The last tip will take some practice in order to recognize which pairs of cards go well together. For example, the leg trap stops a survivor dead in their tracks, and that is a perfect opportunity to use the machine gun camera. They won’t be moving, so hitting for 75 damage in a series of headshots can take them out in no time. Lickers are strong on their own, but at 7 energy to summon, they need to be used carefully. Consider waiting for the Discount card and reaching 10 energy. Then, use the Discount card and summon a Licker along with whatever else is available from other angles. The result is again an unexpected surge of resistance that the survivors need to deal with, and every once and a while it’s enough to really slow them down. With these few tips, a new Mastermind will quickly find themselves wiping out entire teams of organized survivors. Keep looking to see what combinations work best, and soon your games will always end without a single survivor escaping!
