What Characters Were Hiding In The Super Smash Bros Reveal

The Smash Bros Switch reveal included a number of Nintendo silhouettes, and we think we can put a name to each of them. via: N3rdabl3.com Just three days ago, Nintendo released a for the newest installment in their hugely popular franchise. If you've been living under a rock for the past three decades, Smash Bros. is a tournament-based multiplayer fighting game that features characters from different video games. Originally, the characters were exclusively Nintendo properties, but over time, there have been a lot of strange additions outside of these perimeters, like Metal Gear's Solid Snake and Final Fantasy's Cloud Strife. This means that when it comes to Smash Bros. characters, practically anyone could make an appearance. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY via: videogamegallery.blogspot.com Going off of the teaser trailer, there are a few characters that we obviously know are going to be included. The first face we see in the new teaser trailer is an Inkling from the Splatoon series, which pretty much guarantees that this will be one of our playable characters. The return of Mario, Nintendo's crown jewel, and Link, from the famous Legend of Zelda series, are also confirmed by this trailer, although it's pretty much a given that these two would make an appearance. There are some other characters that are sure to be included with the Switch release of this game. You can consider these to be "legacy" characters because they're all Nintendo properties, and they've all been consistently included in every Smash Bros. game up until this point of time. Along with Mario and Link, these ten guaranteed characters include: Captain Falcon, Donkey Kong, Fox, Kirby, Luigi, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Ness, Samus, and Yoshi. So what about the rest? There is a small clue within the trailer that can help us decipher the main cast for this game. Look carefully at the very end of the trailer when Inkling turns and looks at the glowing Smash Bros. logo and you will see a slightly blurry lineup of characters from the game. Some of the previous guaranteed ten have been clocked in this lineup, but there are a few other characters that have been identified here as well. A few Nintendo superfans have been taking a crack at trying to decipher this cryptic image, and there have been some interesting results already. via: Twitter.com (@ACMenes) According to we can also expect to see Pit from Kid Icarus, Zelda/Sheik from The Legend of Zelda, Marth from Fire Emblem, as well as Bowser, Princess Peach, and Wario from the Mario Bros. series. These six additional characters have already made an appearance in past Smash Bros. games, so none of this really comes as a surprise. Keep in mind that a lot of this information is a given; there's no way that a Smash Bros. game would choose to leave out characters like Mario and Link. It's also true that Nintendo has famously done a great job at keeping their new characters well under wraps when it comes to their Smash Bros. debut. If the Switch version of Super Smash Bros. is anything like the previous four games, it's almost certain that the lion's share of new characters will have to be unlocked through gameplay anyway. The release date for the new Super Smash Bros. game for the Nintendo Switch . We do know that it's release is going to be some time in 2018. If history serves us right, it's likely that Super Smash Bros. will be released just in time for the holiday season, but you never know what to expect when it comes to Nintendo. If you're really desperate for any kind of information about this game: don't give up hope! E3 is just around the corner.
