You can pick up a bow in Creeper Woods, Creepy Crypt, Dingy Jungle, Gale Sanctum, and Desert temple. There's also one given in Squid Coast during the tutorial and Merchants will frequently distribute them as well. You can find them in Lower Temple and Windswept Peeks or through different merchants. The Unique version, Spellbound Crossbows is far better since they give extra strength against . However, while they drop from the same places they are one of the rarest items in the game, hence the lower ranking. Longbow Red Snake
The Longbow is a solid choice for those who like to play a hunter type build. The Red Snake is the Unique version but does drop in Arch Haven, Cacti Canyon, and Pumpkin Pastures, making it attainable early in the game. It can also be crafted by the Blacksmith. The basic version has strong charged attacks, giving it some incredible power . If you can get your hands on the Red Snake you'll also gain a chance for your arrows to explode. The Trickbow is a low power weapon with moderate ammo and low speed. However, you can vary the power by holding down the button to fire a more powerful but slower shot. It's not the best weapon but has some flexibility and is easily available. You can pick one up in Cacti Canyon, Lower Temple, Overgrown Temple, and from Merchants. The basic version is a rare item that drops from Creepy Crypt, Overgrown Temple, and Creeper Woods. It boosts your soul gathering, which is a must for these builds. The unique Bow of Lost Souls also offers a chance for multishot, further increasing your multitarget damage, something many soul harvesting builds will focus on. It packs a punch and is a strong choice of ranged weapon thanks to its powerful shot buff. The unique, Slayer Crossbow, drops from the same places and gives you a chance to ricochet arrows, causing even more chaos. There's also a second unique, the Doom Crossbow, which replaces the ricochet chance with a knockback effect. Hunting Bow Hunter s Promise

The basic version gives a boost to soul gathering and the Unique Feral Soul Cross Bow also gives a critical boost to souls. Both can be found in Obsidian Pinnacle and Arch Haven. This weapon is less useful alone but when used alongside soul power Artifacts and other soul collecting items it forms part of an incredibly strong build that can deal huge amounts of burst damage. Wind Bow Echo Of The Valley
The Wind Bow is from the Howling Peaks DLC and can be found in Colossal Rampart and Gale Sanctum. It turns every arrow fired into a Gale Arrow, which will draw enemies closer to you in a helix of wind. While this ability is situational it's also unique and can be very powerful. The Unique variant Echo Of The Valley also has a chance to ricochet. This ability combined with solid base stats make it a good choice, especially when Power Bow Elite Power Bow
The Power Bow is a rare drop available from Fiery Forge, Underhalls, and Highblock Halls. It deals a large amount of damage thanks to its strong charged attacks buff. If you want to make each shot count then this is the bow for you. The unique version, Elite Power Bow, drops in the same locations and also has a bonus boost that deals even greater damage. This is one weapon that truly lives up to its name and is a very strong choice for players who use ranged weapons infrequently. Rapid Crossbow Butterfly Crossbow
The Rapid Crossbow has a high fire-rate and will help you dish out quick and sustained damage to packs of mobs. This makes it a for any player looking to deal swift damage from afar. You can find both the standard Rapid crossbow and the Unique Butterfly Crossbow in Redstone Mines, Lone Fortress, and Highblock Halls. The Butterfly Crossbow has the added bonus of shooting two enemies at once, dealing double the damage at the same rapid rate. This makes it difficult to beat but it will consume arrows quickly. The Burst Crossbow is a powerful ranged crossbow that deals damage very quickly. All the variants are powerful but the Corrupted Crossbow Unique is especially so. This is due to the increased damage dealt when you use it after rolling. If you want to jump straight into a fight as powerfully as possible then head over to Fiery Forge, Underhalls, or Panda Plateau to get your hands on a Burst Crossbow. If you have a soul harvesting build you can also look for the Soul Hunter Crossbow from the Creeping Winter DLC to gain a boost to your crit. Scatter Crossbow Lightning Harp Crossbow
