In the 1990s, the was airing unique cartoon series alongside its live-action shows. The company was also still producing featured animated films and releasing them in theaters. The 1990s were not only great for cartoon fans who loved Disney shows, but also who still enjoyed Saturday Morning Cartoons. Disney aired "One Saturday Morning" on the weekends and "The Disney Afternoon" after school on weekdays. Disney saw massive success with their animated films. The stories often didn't end there for the casts of these shows. Some movies, like Aladdin, became animated series that told fans what happened before he got married and grew old in the Agrabah castle. Though fans loved Aladdin, they grew even more interested in the , Jafar. It would be almost two decades before the live-action film, The Descendants, based on the children of the villains, was released. It wasn't just Jafar that interested fans. Disney has often promoted its heroes before its villains. After the hero wins, we rarely find out what happened to the "evil villain." Some deal with lifelong prison sentences, while others have worst fates. Others decide to reform their terrible ways and have families. Creative fans have reimagined villains from 1990s Disney cartoons as parents. Though Disney may have left us in the dark about these evildoers, fans have stepped in with these creative fan art images. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

At Least He Didn t Get Upset

via: nwolfman.deviantart.com Darkwing Duck isn't like Disney's other animated ducks, Donald and Daisy. The Darkwing Duck animated series has a darker tone. The series tells the tale of a hero named Drake Mallard. During the day, he takes care of his adopted daughter Gosalyn. At night, Drake turns into his alter-ego, Darkwing Duck, the protector of St. Canard. His daughter and his closest friend, Launchpad McQuack, know his secret identity, but work hard to help Darkwing protect the city from evil. Morgana MacCawber initially started out as an evil villain. She is from a long line of sorceresses from Transylvania. After getting to know Darkwing Duck, she begins to have romantic feelings for one another. As her feelings for Darkwing grew stronger, she decided to throw away a life of evil for that of good. She ended up joining the Justice Ducks to protect St. Canard. Gabe Schleifer, or on DeviantArt, shows a shocking announcement. Morgana has informed her boyfriend that she's pregnant. They may have spent some time away from each other, and she has only now had the opportunity to give him the good news. Once Darkwing has seen the evidence of her pregnancy, he immediately passes out. Morgana is amused. Darkwing didn't have a chance to get upset. He took the news better than she expected.

There s No Love In Magic

via: sunbune.deviantart.com In Disney's Aladdin, Jafar is the second most powerful man in Agrabah behind the Sultan. He might as well be the most powerful. Jafar uses his snake-headed staff to hypnotize the Sultan to command him around. The Sultan is unaware of what's going on until Aladdin appears. In the movie, Aladdin works with his friends to take down the evil vizier, save his love interest, Princess Jasmine, and save Agrabah. Jafar's final fate is as a genie trapped in a golden lamp. In the Aladdin animated series, Jafar has plenty of evil plotting to accomplish, but he isn't alone. Mozenrath is the ruler of The Land of the Black Sand. He wants to take over the Seven Deserts, including Agrabah. His thirst for power may be more than Jafar, a man who fans speculate may be his father due to his physical similarities and interest in sorcery. has brought fan speculation to life in this fan art of Jafar and Mozenrath. Mozenrath has fallen asleep, and it's up to Jafar to put him to bed. Jafar asks Zerxes if he can just put him to bed using magic, but Xerxes doesn't know. It's nice to see that Jafar cares enough about the younger man to take him to his room instead of dropping him on the ground.

A Strong Mother Figure

via: hellogiggles.com The Little Mermaid is from 1989, but kept popularity well into the 90s. stars a young teenage mermaid named Ariel. She is fascinated with the world above the water's surface. Her father, King Triton, forbids her to go above land. Ursula, a sea witch, takes advantage of Ariel's curiosity. She gives Ariel human legs in exchange for the girl's voice. It would be one of the worst decisions of Ursula's life. To save Ariel, her love interest, Eric, and her father, defeat the sea witch in a battle on the surface. They send Ursula back into the depths of the sea. In the later Little Mermaid films, we learn more about King Triton's fear of the surface. Athena, his wife and mother of their children, was destroyed after a crash with a pirate ship. Instead of using the mermaid family for selfish gains, Ursula could have stepped in to help them in their time of need. Maritza Lugo has reimagined Ursula as a mother-figure to young Ariel. Both sea creatures have returned to the surface to cope with Athena's passing. They realize that the surface is dangerous, but can provide many exciting experiences. Ursula's daughter Uma wouldn't make her official appearance until the live-action The Descendants 2 film. Raising Ariel could have inspired Ursula to trade her evil ways for a family of her own.

His Family Gives Him Power

via: merani.deviantart.com Darkwing Duck deals with his fair share of evildoers in the city of St. Canard. One of the most terrifying group is The Fearsome Five. The group is led by Darkwing Duck's top nemesis, Negaduck. Alongside this evil leader is Bushroot, Quackerjack, the Liquidator, and Megavolt. The master of electricity is one of the main villains of the series. He wants to hoard every source of power in St. Canard for himself. Luckily, he has the predictable weakness of water. Darkwing Duck and his allies can defeat him each time the villain dares threaten the city. Megavolt may also have different hopes and dreams of his villainous teammates. Besides from stealing electricity, he may even dream of being a parent. Melanie, who is also known as on DeviantArt, has reimagined Megavolt as a loving husband and father. He's sitting with his family in the grass. Megavolt's daughter is giving her mother a beautiful bouquet of roses. In this piece of fan art, Megavolt is wearing his evil villain uniform. His family may be aware of his horrible deeds, but want him to be happy. He may also be lying to them and pretending to be an electrician. Either way, he appears happier with his family than stealing electricity from the citizens of St. Canard.

Much Happier Accepting Mortals

via: r2ninjaturtle.deviantart.com Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas impressed viewers with its stop-motion animation and a catchy soundtrack. The film tells the story of the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington. He is the leader of Halloween Town. The spooky town is filled with all of the delights of Halloween, year after year. Jack has begun to grow bored of the same routine and opened the door to Christmas Town. Not everyone is happy with the decision. Oogie Boogie is the main antagonist of the film. He is a burlap sack filled with bugs. To make him even scarier, he has a snake for a tongue. He thinks that Halloween isn't supposed to be fun costumes and candy. Oogie Boogie wants mortals to fear him. Others in Halloween Town don't like how aggressive he gets with his fearsome tactics and have exiled him from Halloween Town. In the film, Oogie wants revenge against Halloween Town's residents. Jack has to destroy the sack to save everyone. In this fan art by Arielle, or r2ninjaturtle on Deviantart, Oogie Boogie has decided to befriend mortals instead. He has a family of canvas sack people. He now prefers to hang out with mortals instead of hurting them. Oogie Boogie could have had a happier Halloween if he stopped trying to destroy the town residents.

A Happy Little Underworld Family

via: nerinasam.deviantart.com Within every Disney animated film is a powerful villain getting in the hero's way. Hercules told the story of a half-god, half-human man who was fated for greatness. His half-uncle, Hades, wanted all of the power and glory for himself. Hades had long planned to take over Mount Olympus and overthrow his brother, Zeus, for ages. When he finally managed to bring the plan together, Hercules was born into the world. The Fates told him that this child would be the one to stop him. The prophecy came true. It was once that Hades had sent Hercules' love interest, Megara, into the Underworld, that Hercules fought back with a vengeance. Hades was defeated in the Disney film, but he may have had the chance to understand the power of love afterward. In Greek mythology, Hades was married to Persephone, the Goddess of Spring. She helped him rule the Underworld. Hades was fiercely loyal to her like Hercules was to Megara in Disney's cartoon series. Sam, who is also known as on DeviantArt, has reimagined Hades as a loving husband and parent. He is happily holding his wife Persephone in his arms. Beside them is their daughter, Macaria, who is also a goddess. Instead of sending people to their dooms, she sent them to the afterlife in a caring way. She was much more merciful than her power-hungry father. When Hades is with his family, the rest of the Gods and humans above can rest easy.

All Of His Dreams Came True

via: elenatria.deviantart.com The Hunchback of Notre Dame has always had one terrible villain: Claude Frollo, the Archdeacon of Notre Dame. He commits awful misdeeds against the people of Paris, claiming that he has the right, due to his religion. He uses common thieves and bandits to do his dirty work for him. Though his actions are evil, he honestly believes that he is doing an excellent service to the world. Frollo is most well-known for being the caretaker of Quasimodo, the main character of the series. During the series, he becomes enamored by a Romani dancer named Esmeralda. She is an independent woman who knows how to survive by herself. Her strong will only makes Frollo more interested in her. Unfortunately for him, and Quasimodo, who also fell for her, she chose to marry Phoebus instead. has given Esmeralda a different fate. She had created a watercolor portrait of Frollo and his new family. Esmeralda has become the wife of Frollo, and they have a son together. Their son shares the same haircut as his father. The family is spending some time outside of the castle, playing with Esmeralda's loyal goat Djali. Frollo often appears as a cold, heartless man but he can't help but smile at his happy little family.

Babies Get Away With Everything

via: s8.org Disney's Gargoyles had a darker tone than most of their cartoon series. It told the story about petrified gargoyles who awaken in New York City. Instead of being angry about what happened, they become the nocturnal protectors of the city at night. With the help of police officer Elisa, they work to protect NYC's citizens. They believed billionaire Xanatos wanted to help them, only to be tricked. He tried to use them to accomplish evil deeds. The Gargoyles and Xanatos face off against each other often during the series. Xanatos meets a beautiful woman named Fox. The two fall in love and are married. Fox gives birth to their son, Alexander. During a terrible course of events, Goliath saves Alexander. Xanatos vows to repay him. In an alternate universe, Goliath and Xanatos could have become close friends. Rene Modesto has created an image of how baby Alexander has become a big part of both their lives. Alexander has taken a gargoyle egg and painted it. Goliath demands answers from Xanatos. Xanatos isn't going to let anything happen to his son. Instead of fighting, both men talk things out. Xanatos explains that Alexander is just a baby and the paint will wash off.

Unhappily Ever After

via: animefan1120.deviantart.com Disney's Beauty and the Beast starred Belle, an intelligent young woman who didn't want to spend her entire life in a small village. In the town is a muscular hunter named Gaston. Many other women in the town have fallen for him, but he only wants Belle. She has no interest in him, but he continues to pursue her aggressively. Family Before Riches

He grows to love them dearly and begins to bring them on his treasure-hunting adventures. Scrooge doesn't have an easy life. Some villains want to take his riches as their own. One of his nemeses is Magica De Spell. She wants his Number One Dime, which has the power to give her the Midas Touch. One Happy Pride Of Lions

via: furaffinity.net (Koraden) The Lion King told the story of a young prince becoming a king. Simba and his father, Mufasa, are tricked into running into a stampede of wildebeests. The younger Simba makes it out of the way, but his father doesn't make it. Simba learns about the circle of life and that he will have to take his father's place. Over time, he discovers that his uncle Scar was responsible for the cruel act. Scar would have been king if not for Simba. In the second Lion King film, Scar finds a new pack, the Outsiders. The leader of the pack, Zira, became loyal to Scar. Zira was banished by Simba and wanted revenge. Both lions shared a bond over the anger of their common enemy. Koraden has drawn Scar and Zira as a loving couple. Together, Scar and Zira are raising the Chosen One, Zira, and his two older siblings, Nuka and Vitani. These cubs are being trained to take down Simba for the throne. Koraden has featured not only their immediate family but also other members of the Outsiders. Though they may not be related to the leaders of the Outsiders, they have chosen to stay by each other's side. Simba may find his throne in trouble with this pride of lions.

A Child To Follow In His Footsteps

via: missredrose03.deviantart.com In the Aladdin movie and cartoon series, Jafar makes his thirst for power known. He wants to rule over Agrabah and have others do his bidding. He's willing to do anything to achieve his goals, whether it be lying, hypnotizing the Sultan, or marrying the princess. At the end of the movie, Jafar fulfills his dream of ultimate cosmic power but is doomed to a life as a genie. Jafar might have had a different life if he weren't so power hungry. In this artwork by Sabrina, or on DeviantArt, Jafar has traded his life of evil for a life of good. Even Princess Jasmine's trust tiger, Rajah, feels so calm by Jafar's presence that he's sleeping comfortably near him. Jafar has realized that spending all of his time chasing after power would only hurt him in the end. Instead, he has turned his attention towards becoming a loving parent. Jafar's newborn child is smiling up at him, knowing that his father will take good care of him. At the same time, Jafar may still love power more than his child. He may plan to return to his evil ways, or worse, make his child follow in his footsteps.

More Children Means More Rivalries

via: y-yuki.deviantart.com In every Peter Pan story is the villainous Captain Hook. He appeared in Disney's original 1953 film and again in the live-action adaptation of Hook in 1991. Hook wants revenge on Peter Pan for causing him to lose his hand. Twenty years later, Hook would have a different story. He is now banished to the Isle of the Lost with the other exiled Disney villains. On the island, he becomes the father to three children: Harriet, Harry, and Calista Jane (C.J). has drawn an image of Hook dealing with two of his children. The youngest child, C.J., and only son Harry are arguing non-stop. They want to work with their father to find new riches so that they can get off of the island. Hook doesn't know what to say to his two children. He doesn't want to step in the middle of the argument but is growing tired of their non-stop bickering. If they don't stop arguing, Hook may decide to take Harriet on his next adventure instead. Luckily for Hook, Harry ends up traveling with Ursula's daughter, Uma, in The Descendants. He doesn't see his son often, but when he visits, he argues with his sisters. C.J. is too young to have pirate adventures, but anxiously awaits the day she can leave the island with a crew of her own.

An Outcome Better Than He Expected

via: howlingmojo.deviantart.com The Hunchback of Notre Dame's antagonist Claude Frollo makes many people miserable. He treats his adopted son, Quasimodo, like a monster. The people of Paris fear Frollo, even though he believes he has their best interests at heart. What makes Frollo even worse is how he treats the primary love interest of the series, Esmeralda. He falls deeply in love with her, but she despises him. Frollo gives her a final choice: either become his or face the guards. If she is taken in by the authorities, she will be sent to the gallows. In the Disney series, Esmeralda escapes a cruel fate. Her friends Quasimodo and Phoebus rescue her from a terrible ending. Esmeralda would have had a different outcome if she accepted Frollo's offer. Howlingmojo has shown what would happen if Esmeralda chose to marry Frollo instead of heading to the afterlife. She no longer has to worry about surviving on the streets because her new home is enormous. Frollo is smiling at his son more proudly than he ever did for Quasimodo. His son has more features from his mother, such as her raven-black hair and green eyes. Frollo may hope to make his son into the next Archdeacon of Notre Dame.

A Father s Dastardly Deed

via: purrelise.deviantart.com Darkwing Duck has a wide variety of evil villains. They all want to take over St. Canard. Luckily, Darkwing Duck succeeds in saving the day every time. In typical Disney fashion, he was the very definition of an evil cartoon villain. Negaduck was heartless and selfish. He may have worked with other villains once in awhile, but he was always looking out for himself. Negaduck was also incredibly impatient with an unpredictable personality. He is also aware that he looks so similar to Darkwing Duck, except that he wears different colored clothing. There have been times where he impersonates his rival. Unsuspecting city dwellers have fallen for his tricks time after time, but eventually, learn to trust their hero Darkwing again. has created a terrible rendition of Negaduck as a father. He is angrily standing over his daughter with his teeth bared. She may have offended him or was just an innocent bystander during a bad day. He has kicked over something precious to her. His daughter is in tears, but Negaduck doesn't care. While Negaduck may be reimagined as a parent, it doesn’t mean that he will automatically become a good person. Becoming a father may have turned this evil villain into an even worse duck.

Babies Bring A Smile To Everyone s Faces

via: lilmisspeppy.deviantart.com Hercules was willing to do whatever it took to save his future wife, Megara. He traveled into the Underworld to save her spirit, which almost cost him his existence. Hercules was even willing to step down from being a full-fledged god to be with her on Earth. The Gods of Mount Olympus cheered him on and promised to always watch him from above. Hercule's love story may have inspired others, including Hades. Tiffany, or on DeviantArt, has reimagined Hades as a loving father instead of a spiteful god. Instead of pairing him with his wife from Greek mythology, Persephone, she has given him a new start in life. Hades has married Eris, the goddess of strife and discord. Eris is smiling happily with their two newborn children, Ember McClain and Pitch Black. Hades smiles as he watches how much happiness Ember and Pitch have brought to their mother. In the distance are Hades' loyal servants. They appear to be slightly jealous. They were never able to make Hades as happy as Eris and his two new children. With a beautiful new family to take care of, Hades may finally stop plotting against his brother Zeus and the gods of Mount Olympus.

During Don and Baloo's battles, a young cub named Kit Cloudkicker decides to join Baloo's side. He claims he was tired of the pirate's life and wanted to see what Baloo's Air Service had to offer. Wilson Goldwing has twisted TailSpin's story around. Instead of joining Baloo, Kit has decided to stay with Don. The evil pirate chooses to adopt Kit. He’ll have a long, happy life being a pirate, as long as he isn’t caught by the authorities.

Is Overthrowing Simba That Important

In Disney's The Descendants, viewers learn more about her son, Carlos De Vil. He has a love for fashion but has a fear of dogs. Before Carlos' debut, other artists wondered about Cruella's fate. She Melted His Frozen Heart

via: darkmatternova.deviantart.com Toy Story was first released in 1995. New installments continued to be released over the years in theaters, including a fourth sequel scheduled for release in 2019. Disney didn't want to keep the famous series confined to movie theaters. Captain Buzz Lightyear was one of the heroes of the series who had a backstory that even Woody didn't know. Disney released Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, which aired during Disney's One Saturday Morning on ABC. Warp Darkmatter is one of the main characters of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. He formerly trained alongside Buzz at the Space Ranger Academy. During a terrible accident, he was taken captive by Evil Emperor Zurg and rebuilt as an evil villain. Buzz was sad to have to fight his former friend but knew it had to be done to protect space. Meagan has given Warp Darkmatter a better fate than being a henchman for an evil emperor. Her original character, Mira Nova has fallen for the former Space Ranger. They were eventually married and had a child. In this fan art, they are reading the story of one of Disney's most popular series, Frozen. Their daughter is close to falling asleep on her father's chest.
