Apex Legends Devs Say They re Looking Into Hitbox Complaints From Players

Pathfinder has been revealed to have unfair hitboxes compared to the rest of the Apex Legends cast, Respawn is looking into it. via comicbook.com Respawn's hit title seems a breath of fresh air for many users, but the game isn't without its faults. One such fault is the hitbox issue, with lots of players having complained that they vary by character. Hitboxes are the invisible areas on a character that registers shots and, while they're generally quite good in Apex Legends, a YouTube video from SookieSpy has revealed that Pathfinder is perhaps easier to hit than other legends. While you could shoot between characters' legs and even through Bloodhound's hat feathers without registering a hit, Pathfinder takes hits in places that appear to be outside of regular hitbox ranges. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Clearly, this is a bit of a problem for players favoring the sarcastic robot. It makes no sense that he's more easily hit than Gibraltar, who's much bigger. Players have also claimed that Wraith is hardest to hit, not just because of her special escape abilities, but because she has the best hitbox. PREVIOUSLY: Respawn, though, has confirmed that they are aware of the problem and are looking into it. "Can you address the disproportionate hitboxes between legends? The pathfinder hitbox seems much bigger than the actual model," a user asked under a from Respawn Community manager Jay Frechette earlier this week. "Sure! We are definitely aware of it and we were actually discussing it today," Frechette replied. "I can't say anything more for now but we hear you guys." Frechette dropped another post on Wednesday, admitting that the hitbox issue is one that "definitely needs improvement" while noting a few other fixes such as one relating to extended skydiving distances. "We are aware of the feedback around the hitbox differences between characters," he wrote. "This is an area that definitely needs improvement and we will be addressing it in the future. "We’ve applied some fixes that should address the issue where players could fly much further than intended. We’re continuing to hunt down and address any exploits that pop up so thank you to everyone that’s been capturing and reporting them. Please let us know if you are still seeing people able to do this." READ NEXT:
