24 Star Wars Heroes Reimagined As Sith Lords
These Star Wars heroes look incredible as Sith — every fan of the franchise needs to see this art. Over the years, fans have always seen two sides of the battle within George Lucas’s galactic mythology that began with Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. It’s always been the Jedi vs. the Sith. One holds the power of the light side of the mysterious power source known only as The Force, while the other wields the power of the dark side of the force as a mighty weapon. Both sides have been at a constant war with one another, and their battles have shaped the course of the galaxy for thousands of years. Every fan of the Star Wars franchise knows the major players and where they fall on the Force scale. For example, everyone knows that Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Yoda all fall on the light side of the force with the Jedi, while Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Darth Sidious all reign supreme in the dark side of the force and the Sith. Yet over the years, die-hard fans have stopped to ask themselves a very important question: what if our favorite heroes turned to the dark side? Over the course of years and years of fan fiction, fan art, and online speculation, fans have reimagined your favorite Star Wars heroes as Sith Lords. Therefore today we are going to explore twenty-five of the most amazing fan arts showing these heroes falling to the dark side of the force. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Darth Yoda
via ImprobableHand - DeviantArt Let’s start this list out the right way, and see what would happen to the oldest Jedi in the known mythos. Everyone loves Master Yoda, the small green Jedi Master who lived for nearly 1,000 years and helped usher in some of the most powerful Jedi to ever live. Yet what if all of his wisdom and power had been used for evil rather than good? This artist reimagining shows Yoda becoming Darth Yoda, a powerful Sith Lord who would bring the galaxy to its knees. Darth Obi-Wan Kenobi
via blackberreh-art It’s hard to imagine a more heroic Jedi than Obi-Wan Kenobi. His story is filled not only with great tragedy and hardship, but heroism like no other. A Jedi Master and general in the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan became best friends with his padawan Anakin Skywalker, but would be betrayed later on when Anakin became Darth Vader. Yet what if it was Obi-Wan who fell to the dark side, and not Anakin? That’s what this artist shows perfectly. Darth Padme
via Pinterest One of the bright spots in the prequel trilogy came from Natalie Portman’s portrayal of light side hero Padme Amadala. A former Naboo Queen turned Republic Senator for Naboo, she helped the Republic battle the droid army of Count Dooku during the Clone Wars. She also fell in love with Anakin Skywalker, secretly marrying him and becoming pregnant with his children. She sadly perished after Anakin’s fall to the dark side, but this artist reimagines Padme giving into the dark side alongside her husband, becoming a powerful Sith Lord herself. Darth Jar Jar Binks
via devilhs - DeviantArt This next piece of art features one of the most controversial characters of the prequel series: Jar Jar Binks. The goofy hero that rose in Episode I: The Phantom Menace dwelled with his people on Naboo known as the Gungan. He had a penchant for being clumsy and getting in the way, but inadvertently helped stop the Federation’s first attempt at a galactic takeover. However the fan’s hate for this character never ceased, and this artist shows that hate turning him into a powerful Sith Lord as a result. Darth Luke Skywalker
via Diary of a Sith Chick - Tumblr Now the most powerful, and coolest looking Jedi turned Sith Lord, Luke Skywalker. The innocent farm boy turned galactic hero and Jedi Master led the rebellion against the Empire, and ended up training the new leader of the Jedi Rey to become the force for good he once had been. He’s a fantastic warrior and force for good, but what if he had followed in his father’s footsteps and turned to the dark side? With his power he could very well have taken over the galaxy. Darth Barriss
via Crimsonight - DeviantArt This next piece of art focuses on a powerful Jedi warrior from the Clone Wars saga that became disillusioned with the Jedi’s motives and framed her friend Ashoka Tano for a bombing she created at the Jedi Temple. While her crimes were horrendous and she failed to retain her Jedi ways, she never fell to the dark side fully on the show. Yet what if after being caught, she did become a Sith Lord? She’d be a formidable opponent to be sure. Darth Rey
via channandeller - DeviantArt One of the franchises newest and most beloved heroes has to be Rey, the orphaned child with no memory of her parents or history. Found on the planet Jakku, she helped the rebellion find Luke Skywalker, and discovered her powerful connection to the force. She learned to hone her skills and trained under Luke Skywalker in the latest film, but what if Kylo Ren had been successful in luring her to the dark side with him? Using the Sith Power of 2, she would have become Darth Rey. Darth Kanan Jarrus
via SmacksArt - DeviantArt Real name Caleb Dume, Kanan is the leader of the Ghost crew on Star Wars: Rebels. He becomes Ezra’s Jedi Master and trains the young boy in the ways of the force, although he doubts himself as he too has much to learn about the ways of the force. He helped the rebellion fight the Empire for years, but what if during his struggle to train Ezra he found himself swayed to the dark side of the force? It could spell doom for the rebellion before it had a chance to begin. Darth Porg
via Newgrounds.com One of the newest and most adorable additions to the Star Wars universe (depending on who you ask of course) has to be the Porgs from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The tiny creatures inhabited the planet Rey found Luke exiled on, and became a major hit after the film’s release. Yet what if the apprehension some fans have for the creatures was legitimate? This artist reimagines the creatures as powerful Sith warriors like no other. Sith Ewoks
via soiceywalk - DeviantArt A classic creature featured in the Star Wars universe has to be the Ewoks from the forest moon of Endor in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. These cuddly creatures helped the rebellion fight the Empire in the final battle known as the Battle of Endor. Yet what would have happened if the Ewoks weren’t as cute and friendly as they appeared? What if the Empire had chosen that moon because of the dark side wielded by these Ewoks? This artist showcased that perfectly here. Darth Aayla Secura
via Pinterest This next Jedi was featured briefly in the prequel franchise, but gained more notice during her time on the Clone Wars franchise. Aayla Secura was a powerful Jedi Knight and leader in the Clone Wars who led a battalion of Clones into the wild world of Felucia. It was on this planet that her clone troopers received the orders for Order 66, and here where she was taken down. However what if she’d survived her betrayal? Perhaps she would have turned to the dark side to seek revenge, as shown in this artist rendition. Darth Depa Billaba
via Aliens-of-Star-Wars - DeviantArt This next Jedi Master had a big impact on the show Star Wars: Rebels. Depa Billaba was a Jedi Master who served on the Jedi Council. After a massive fight with the evil droid general known as General Grievous, Depa fell into a six-month coma. She quickly recovered after that and went on to train a young padawan named Caleb Dume, who would become Kanan Jarrus. Yet what if she had come out of her coma not as her former Jedi self, but as a revenge-seeking Sith Lord? Darth Shaak Ti
via Totemos - DeviantArt A Togruta Jedi Master, Shaak Ti was featured in the prequel series and the Clone Wars show. A member of the Jedi Council, Shaak Ti was one of the few Jedi Masters to survive the Jedi Purge of Order 66, becoming one of the few who had to go into hiding as the Empire grew around them and the Jedi became a distant memory. Yet what if in her exile, she became a powerful Sith Lord instead, using the dark side to take her revenge? Sith Finn and Sith Poe Dameron
via mkmatsumoto - DeviantArt Art by This next entry is a combo duo, as the likes of newcomers Finn and Poe Dameron are a powerful combination themselves. Finn was captured as a child and raised to be a stormtrooper, but couldn’t succumb to the dark side. Meanwhile, Poe was a rebellion fighter pilot who helped Finn escape and join the rebellion, becoming fast friends. Yet what if upon Poe’s capture, he’d been turned to the dark side by Kylo Ren, and Finn had become a powerful Stormtrooper much like Captain Phasma? This artist brought this to life brilliantly. Darth Ezra
via Pinterest This next piece of art focuses on a newer addition to the Star Wars mythos, and that is Ezra Bridger. A young boy living on the streets of the planet Lothal, audiences were introduced to Ezra on Star Wars: Rebels when Jedi Kanan took in the young boy and trained him. While Ezra always balanced between the light and dark sides of the force, he always returned to the Jedi ways. However, this artist reimagines Ezra’s final descent into the dark side and his rise as a Sith Lord. Darth Qui Gon Jinn
via wynahiros - DeviantArt Episode I: The Phantom Menace introduced audiences to a brand new Jedi Master, Qui Gon Jinn. The Jedi Master who trained Obi-Wan Kenobi himself, he was the one who recognized the young boy named Anakin as the potential savior who would bring balance to the force once and for all. He also became the first loss in the secret war brewing between the Sith and Jedi, falling to Darth Maul. Yet what if he had lived, only to turn to the dark side? Darth Mace Windu
via SmacksArt - DeviantArt One Jedi Master became legendary for being one of the coolest, most intense heroes of the Jedi Order, and that was Samuel Jackson’s Mace Windu. Sitting on the council, his apprehension of Anakin Skywalker’s relationship with Chancellor Palpatine led to a major confrontation upon learning of the Chancellor’s Sith power. Mace tragically passed after Anakin betrayed the order, but this artist rendition imagines the powerful Jedi surviving, only to be fueled by anger and rage that turned into a powerful affinity for the dark side of the force. Darth Ashoka Tano
via SmacksArt - DeviantArt A fan favorite character to come out of the animated series of Star Wars shows, Ashoka Tano was the young padawan that trained under master Jedi Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars. Her heroism and moral compass made her very popular, and after being falsely accused of bombing the Jedi Temple, she left the order, determined to carry on without allegiance to anyone. She helped the rebellion after the rise of the Empire, but what if she’d followed in her former master’s footsteps? This artist imagines the iconic hero as a Sith Lord. Darth Plo Koon
via Secrets of the Force This next Jedi gained his notoriety during the Clone Wars television series. A member of the Jedi Council, Master Jedi Plo Koon was also a general in the Republic war effort, and also was the one who discovered Ashoka Tano and her Jedi abilities. Sadly during the events of Revenge of the Sith, his plane was shot down by his own Clone escort, making him one of the victims of Order 66. However, this artist imagines Plo surviving his ship crash, fueled by the unbridled power of the dark side. Darth Kit Fisto
via ithor - DeviantArt Another member of the powerful Jedi Council and shown predominately during the Clone Wars series, Kit Fisto was shown as one of the Jedi who led Clone Troopers into the Battle of Geonosis. He also was one of the four Jedi who joined Mace Windu in attempting to arrest Chancellor Palpatine However what if he hadn’t been attacked, but instead was lured to the dark side by Palpatine and joined the Sith cause? Ironically Fisto’s original design was as a Sith warrior.
