Nadal will be eyeing a 14th French Open trophy. Both Nadal and Ruud possess two of the heaviest forehands on the tour and will look to take control of the contest from the baseline using that shot. The Norwegian does hold a slight advantage in terms of serving power, but Nadal has the ability to neutralise big serves with ease. The Spaniard managed five and six breaks of serve against Zverev and Auger-Aliassime respectively. Ruud's backhand is also a bit of a weak link and Nadal will undoubtedly target that wing to draw errors and short balls. Nadal has spoken about a foot injury that has troubled him in recent months in recent media interactions. That said, it has not really hampered the Spaniard as his movement has been exceptional throughout the tournament.
