Three Great Decks To Win Big In Legends Of Runeterra

Legends of Runeterra is in an open beta — here are some of the best decks you can currently use in the game. Via: invenglobal.com and lor.mobalytics.gg Now that is in an open beta, anyone can jump into the action. Since the game has been in testing for some time, an early meta has already developed and there are some decks that triumph over others. Despite frequent balance changes, as seen in late January, there are still some great archetypes that will be sticking around for a while. First, be sure to head over to and sign up for a free account. Similar to how players can use to create decks and monitor the meta as it shifts, Legend of Runeterra players can do the same at Mobalytics. Not only can you track your own decks, but some of the best competitive players and streamers are using the site and post their new decks often. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Swim s Fearsome Aggro

Via: lor.mobalytics.gg Surprising no one, aggro has found a comfortable spot in the meta from day one, and this isn’t likely to change in the future. Twitch streamer effectively pilots this and leverages the Fearsome mechanic to edge out damage early and fast. Since Fearsome creates a situation where only specific units can block incoming damage, players will find it easy to edge out some quick victories on unsuspecting opponents.

TidesofTime s Braum Control

Via: lor.mobalytics.gg On the opposite end of the spectrum, this Braum Control by competitive player , which means to slow down gameplay and take a match to the late game. Deny works wonders to frustrate an opponent’s plans, and there is plenty of resources to use the Recall mechanic as well. Meanwhile, cards like Inspiring Mentor and Omen Hawk provide a steady stream of stat buffs to cards that will give an edge in maintaining control of the board, which means that if an opponent cannot win in the early game, their chances of success will drop with each passing turn.

Elusive Heimerdinger Deck

Via: lor.mobalytics.gg Want to make your opponent go crazy? This is one of the best to use from competitive player . While Heimerdinger is the star of the deck, cards from the Piltover & Zaun Region provide a steady stream of card cycle that allow players to find all the spells they need, as well as those frustrating, but super effective, Elusive cards. This deck takes some practice to pilot properly at high levels of play, but its relatively low crafting cost and effective playstyle make it a must have for all players. A quick note on the Elusive keyword is needed here. As of their last balance update in January, the developers have made it clear that both Deny and Elusive are on their “watch list” for potential changes in the future. It is not that this deck is the best in the game, nor that it cannot be countered, but the lack of interaction that can come with facing a board of Elusive units creates some frustrating moments that typically are not healthy for long-term gameplay. As the meta continues to unfold, and the developers strive to balance out the cards in the game, we will be sure to add new and exciting deck lists to keep on top of the competitive action!
