Niantic has been all about giving players what they want since day one of the increasingly popular mobile game. It continues to give players more , P2P battles, trading. You name it, Niantic has probably delivered it or is in the process of delivering it. This week, the developer attempts to take its fan service to the next level. Each month, Pokémon GO holds a worldwide Community Day. A day on which a certain Pokémon that doesn't appear in the wild too often spawns more frequently. There will also be other bonuses such as extra Stardust and said Pokémon having unique abilities. When it comes to the selection of February 2020's featured Community Day Pokémon, Niantic has turned to the game's players. The positives attached to each Pokémon being the focus of February's Community Day are listed in full on the Pokémon GO site. They include Shiny Vulpix's inclusion in-game for the first time, and Dratini evolved into Dragonite knowing the move Superpower. Now that you know the good news, let's move onto the important stuff — how to cast your votes. Voting day is Saturday, February 1, 2020, between 12:00 am and 11:59 pm, regardless of timezone. During that timeframe, Pokéstops will feature four different research tasks. "Vote for [insert Pokémon here] Community Day! Catch 20 Pokémon." A Pokéstop will only feature a task focused on one Pokémon, so it will be a case of finding a Pokéstop with a task featuring the Pokémon you want to vote for. Niantic has assured players that the four Pokémon's research tasks will be distributed evenly across Pokéstops, even in areas where stops are spaced farther apart. Once players have found and selected a research task, catching 20 Pokémon will cast a vote for their choice. Players can vote as many times as they like. Just find another research task with your chosen Pokémon and complete it again.
