5 Horses That Could ve Played Roach In The Witcher

Geralt and Roach hold a special bond, therefore only the worthiest of horses can play the role next to Cavill. And while Roach is not one horse, rather a series of trusty steeds, Geralt and his horse develop a fast bond every time. The relationship the Witcher builds with his mount is a humorous one and it's due in large part to Roach. Therefore the horse cast as Roach must bring its own personality to the screen.

The Chestnut stallion was of a generally quiet but extremely calculated nature, oddly reminiscent of a certain tight-lipped Witcher. Secretariat made racing history in his short-lived career before he was forcefully retired due to his unmatched skills. His most famous race took place back in 1973 where precise maneuvers made to conquer the track proved him a most worthy companion for Geralt. This steadfast mount was born about forty years too soon, but had he been around today, Secretariat would've stolen the show.

Via casino.org This undefeated Thoroughbred is a perfect match for the Witcher. With twenty-five consecutive victories under her saddle girth, Black Caviar has an undeniable spirit. Geralt typically prefers the company of mares and seeing as Witchers only retire when they slow and get killed, this unmatched racing mare would've made a great metaphor.

However, there are no reports of Kenny kicking the bucket just yet. After carting a long-lived ranger across Middle Earth, this trusty steed might be up for one last adventure just like old Bilbo.
