Square Enix Is Launching An English-Language Book Imprint With Final Fantasy XV The Dawn of the Future

Square Enix announced a deal to bring many of its books and manga to the West, starting with a translation of FFXV's The Dawn Of The Future. has announced in a that it has signed a multi-year distribution deal with Penguin Random House Publisher Services that will involve selling English-language versions of its books and manga series, with Final Fantasy XV: The Dawn of the Future being available when the imprint is launched. Square Enix is best-known as the creator of the Final Fantasy series, but the company has also published lots of books and comics in Japan, the most famous of which was probably Fullmetal Alchemist in Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine. The new book imprint will be launched with Final Fantasy XV: The Dawn of the Future, the manga version of Hi Score Girl, the manga of A Man and His Cat, and a complete edition of Soul Eater. The first season of DLC focused on Noctis' companions, while the second season was going to offer an alternate ending to the game, with episodes that focused on Ardyn, Lunafreya, Aranea, and Noctis. Only Episode Ardyn was released, as it had already entered production before the remaining DLC was canceled. via.YouTube.com Final Fantasy XV: The Dawn of the Future was expected to receive an English release at some point, but there are lots of other Final Fantasy books that could be translated as part of the new book imprint. Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy III received manga and novel adaptations that could see an English localization as part of this imprint, while several pieces of media from the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII have yet to be released overseas. Square Enix also released manga based on its video game franchises that appeared in magazines in Japan. The Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Star Ocean series all have manga spinoffs that could now potentially receive an international release, which have the potential to make their way into the hands of fans around the world. Square Enix's new book imprint is expected to launch in Fall 2019.
