Stardew Valley 19 Of The Most Expensive Items You Can Sell
If you're looking to make big money in Stardew Valley, these are some of the most expensive items you can sell in the entire game. Making money in can be tough in the early years. Selling every foraged flower you find and fishing until the day is over is a grind, and you'll have to subsist however possible until you can start pulling in the big bucks. Early-game farmers will dream of the days they can start selling items like wine, diamonds, and other high-priced items. But, what are the best items to sell? Of course, profit, buying price, and availability come into play, but what are the items that simply sell for the highest sheer price? Updated July 9, 2022 by Ryan Bamsey: Stardew Valley remains one of the most popular farming simulators around, and for good reason. It captures everything that a game needs to be calming, compelling, and enjoyable. Making money is one of the most common goals you can set for yourself in this game - we've made sure this list has kept up to date! THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Ostrich Eggs And Golden Eggs
With the 1.5 update, there came two new types of eggs that you can obtain. Both will also fetch you a pretty penny. The first is the Ostrich Egg, which can be obtained by solving Secret Note #10 or from chests in the Volcano Dungeon. You'll need to help Professor Snail finish the fossil sets at the Island Field Office to hatch an Ostrich Egg, though. However, the eggs themselves sell for quite a nice bit of gold, 600g at their base price, and up to 1,440g for iridium-quality ones with the Rancher profession. However, throw them into a Mayonnaise Machine and they'll produce ten batches of Mayo of the same quality. Golden Eggs are obtained after reaching True Perfection (100 percent completion). They'll hatch into Golden Chickens, which lay a Golden Egg every day. These eggs only sell for 500g, which isn't much, but they'll produce three gold-quality Mayo when placed in a Mayonnaise Machine, which is definitely nice. Metal Bars
Metal Bars are typically not something you'll sell very often, as they have much more important uses in crafting. However, if you do decide to sell them, they'll earn you a nice bit of gold. At their base price, Copper Bars will earn you 60g, Refined Quartz earns you 50g, and Iron Bars will earn you 120g. This doesn't seem like much, but the higher-level bars will earn you much more, including Gold (250g), Iridium (1,000g), and Radioactive (3,000g) all earning you a nice profit. If you have the Blacksmith profession, they'll each earn an additional 50 percent (except for Refined Quartz). This means a Radioactive Bar sold by someone with the Blacksmith profession will net a cool 4,500g. Coffee
via Lux/Steam That's right, the lifeblood of any millennial can be sold for a pretty decent profit in Stardew Valley. Coffee Beans grow during the Spring and the Summer (or all-year-round if planted in the greenhouse or in a plant pot) and it takes only five beans to craft a cup of Coffee, which sells for 150g. Unless your Coffee Beans are Iridium quality, you'll want to be turning all of them into Coffee to get the most profit. To do this, you throw the stack of coffee beans into a keg. This isn't going to make you a ton of money, but you can get quite a nice passive income with just a few Coffee plants. Slime Eggs
You'll start to find Slime Eggs on your farm. When placed inside a Slime Egg Incubator, they'll hatch into a new Slime. It's often the case that you shouldn't sell them, because you can hatch them into new Slimes. However, if your Slime Hutch is full, new Slime Eggs can fetch a good price when sold. Different colors of Slime Eggs sell for different amounts of gold. However, they're all profitable. Green is the lowest, selling for 1,000g. Blue ones sell for 1,750g, red for 2,500g, and purple for 5,000g. In the 1.5 update, Tiger Slimes were added. Their Eggs sell for a whopping 8,000g. Goat Cheese
Cheese in particular is one of the best ways to make money fast. Since cows and goats can be unlocked somewhat early on with a bit of grinding, it's recommended to purchase a barn with some animals as soon as possible. Goat cheese, out of the two types of cheeses, is the slightly better option. The price will also improve if the animal is tended to daily, which is nice. At a base level, with the unlocked, players can expect to see an income of 560 gold per block of goat cheese. Cloth
While harder to unlock but definitely worthwhile, once the barn is big enough to accommodate sheep as well, it's worth having at least one or two around in order to take advantage of what the loom can provide. The more, the better, but due to the amount of effort it takes to unlock sheep, it's not the most convenient approach. Once wool is turned into cloth, it can be sold for a pretty decent price. With the Artisan profession, the price for it is roughly 658g. Caviar
A newer addition to the game, provide a new game mechanic that allows players to really monetize their fishing skills by breeding one type of fish. With the Artisan profession, one serving of caviar will be priced at around 700 gold, a pretty handsome price, but again, not the absolute best in the game at such an early stage. Fairy Rose Honey
Regular honey (called Wild Honey in the game) is an easy-to-produce item that will appear in bee houses after they're placed around your farm every few days. However, they'll produce flavored honey if different flowers are planted nearby, within a certain number of tiles. If you plant Fairy Roses nearby, which only grow in Fall, you'll be able to produce Fairy Rose Honey. This is the most profitable of the flavors of honey, selling for a nice 952 gold if you have the Artisan Profession. Dino Mayo
Speaking of the Artisan profession: many of the items on this list will require it. Some, like Dinosaur Mayo, do sell for a hefty profit at their base price. But, if you're looking to make the most profit, the Artisan profession is incredibly helpful. Without it, Dino Mayo sells for a very respectable 800 gold. However, if you have the Artisan profession, that green condiment will sell for a beautiful 1,120 gold. One jar is also . You thought regular Mayonnaise was a nice way to earn some money? Throw some Dino Eggs in that Mayonnaise Maker and retire in comfort. Ancient Fruit Preserve
Another fruit worthwhile farming as soon as the player gets their hands on the seeds is the Ancient Fruit. It'll appear a strange blue color and takes a long time, about 28 days to grow, and then another week to actually fully mature. However, the wait is definitely worth it due to its impressive price. The fruit's price is even better when turned into preserves, after which it will sell for 1,150 gold per jar. If the Artisan profession is unlocked, the price bumps up to 1,610 gold, which is more than respectable. Starfruit
If a player can get their hands on Starfruit seeds early in the game, they should take full advantage of them. This fruit is considered one of the best ones in the entire game, and if the greenhouse is unlocked early on in the game, they can be grown all year and turned into wine and preserves for extra money. The Starfruit itself sells for quite a bit of gold. Normally, the price of a single fruit is about 1,125 gold, but if the player has the Tiller profession, the price is bumped to 1,237. Rabbit' s Foot
Continuing with animal products, many of which are worth hefty profits, you'll find some gold in selling off the produce of your rabbits as well. If the rabbits in your coops like you a lot, are very happy and fed, and you get a bit lucky, they may drop a Rabbit' s Foot. With the Rancher profession, these lucky charms will sell for a nice 1,356 gold at the top quality. Even the worst quality is great, with a base price of 678 gold. As a bonus, they're loved by almost every villager when given as a gift. Truffle Oil
Dino Mayo and Rabbit's Feet are great, but the real profit from the world of animal products comes in the form of Truffle Oil. This artisan product, which is made in an Oil Maker from Truffles that your pigs find, is probably the most expensive animal product in the game. With the Artisan profession, Truffle Oil will sell for 1,491 gold. Without it, it still sells for a high 1,065 gold. Even the Truffles themselves are nice, with Iridium-quality ones selling for 1,250 gold without even being turned into Oil first. Lava Eel Ice Pip Blobfish
An easy way to make a bit of money on the side while waiting for other productions to finish is to go fishing. Not only is this side hustle relaxing, but it can also be economically lucrative, especially if you hunt for the right fish. Lava Eels, Ice Pips, and Blobfish outside of the Legendary Fish. With the Angler profession, an Ice Pip or Blobfish sells for 1,500 gold at the top quality. Lava Eels sell for a crazy 2,100 gold at top quality. , though. Prismatic Shard
These rainbow-colored gems are very rare and used for a wide variety of purposes. so it's unlikely you'll have a ton of them sitting around that you can sell. But, if you are very lucky they're worth a hefty profit. Each Prismatic Shard goes for 2,000 gold. If you have the Gemologist profession, that number bumps up to a cool 2,600 gold. It's too bad that they can't be generated endlessly in a Crystalarium. Throw a Diamond in one of those, though - each sells for 750 gold (975 gold with Gemologist). Sweet Gem Berry
Hands down the most profitable crop before being turned into an artisan good - the Sweet Gem Berry is produced from a Rare Seed, which can be purchased at the traveling cart. At the base price, these berries sell for 3,000 gold. If they're gold quality, that number soars to 4,500 gold per berry. Seeing as the traveling cart sells the Rare Seed for 600 to 1,000 gold each, the profit is much higher than you might think when you consider paying for the expensive seed. These berries can't be turned into wine or jelly, but they don't need to be at that price. Treasure Chest
If you are fishing, you may come across a treasure mini-game. Unlocking the attached chest will grant you with an item, or even a couple items, granted you catch the fish at the same time. One of these items can, confusingly, be a Treasure Chest. This item exists purely to be sold for a bit of extra profit. When you do sell it, it'll net you a nice 5,000 gold. It can also be produced by a Fish Pond filled with Spook Fish or found in Artifact Troves. Secret Note #16 will also lead you to a buried Treasure Chest, like a real pirate. Wine
One of the best ways to increase the value of your fruit crops is to turn them into wine by placing them in a Keg. Wine is worth triple the base price of the crop used, meaning it can get pretty pricy. Once you add a basement to your house, you can then increase the quality of the wine you've produced. Two types of wine - Starfruit and Ancient Fruit - will make you one of the richest people in Pelican Town very quickly. Ancient Fruit Wine that is aged to Iridium-quality in a Cask will sell for 4,620 gold with the Artisan profession. If that's not enough for you, top-quality Starfruit Wine sells for an incredible 6,300 gold with the Artisan profession. Legendary Fish
While not the best way to make money, as you only get one of each per save file, the five Legendary Fish sell for the highest amounts of anything in the game. At Iridium-quality and with the Angler profession, the Angler will sell for 2,700 gold, the Mutant Carp and Glacierfish will sell for 3,000 gold each, and the Crimsonfish nets a nice 4,500 gold. But, the undeniable king is the Legend itself. At top quality and with the right profession, this rare fish sells for a whopping 15,000 gold, making it the highest-selling item in the entire game. Get fishing, farmers.
