Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have established themselves as the best players of their generation, winning 12 Ballon d'Or awards between them. This has thus sparked debates about who is better between the two for years. However, at 35 and 37 years of age respectively, Messi and Ronaldo are nearing the end of their careers. Debates about who is the best player of the generation, though, are set to continue, with Mbappe and Haaland taking up the mantle from them. The PSG and Manchester City superstars have already claimed their stake as the best footballers in the world right now. This has also led to discussions about who is better between the two.
