Pokémon The 10 Ugliest Normal-Type Pokémon Ranked
For every cute Normal-Type Pokémon introduced, poorly designed Normal-Types enter the world. But which are the ugliest? There are a ton of Normal-type Pokémon. It's one of the most populous types, being attached to dozens of Pokémon across the generations. With so many to choose from, the Normal-type is going to produce some duds when it comes to designs. As with any type, Normal has introduced some pretty ugly 'mons. They are probably fitting for their designs or concepts, but that doesn't mean their nice to look at. There's nothing wrong with being aesthetically-unappealing, of course, but they're still not nice on the eyes. Here are some of the ugliest Normal-type Pokémon. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Doduo
This two-headed bird raises the question that every fantasy creature with multiple heads does: which one controls which parts of the body? Does Doduo have one head that's just useless and hangs there, or do they each control half of the body? That would make it extremely uncoordinated. When this terrible thing evolves, it somehow sprouts another head. How is that possible? Does the third head feel like a third-wheel? Regardless, Doduo is not a pretty Pokémon. The double-head is just the beginning. Its weird skinny legs, terrible beaks, and soulless eyes are also part of its ugliness. Type Null
via Screen Rant This abomination was created in a lab and is meant to feature components of many different types of Pokémon, from its fishy tail to its reptilian legs and all the rest. Sure, it's meant to be a hodge-podge of body parts, but that doesn't mean it's pretty. Type Null is an unfortunately tragic Pokémon with a dark backstory. It was created as a weapon against the Ultra Beasts but it was too hard to control, so they locked that terrible bear trap helmet on its head. Who knows how ugly it is underneath that thing? Watchog
Concentric rings of different colors for eyes are used in old cartoons to depict craziness. That might help indicate why Watchog looks so terrifying. Its red and yellow eyes glow to scare off predators, but it's scary enough to people, too. This meerkat-inspired thing is not a pretty Pokémon, its eyes being the start of the list of issues. The maroon coloring is stuck between brown and red, which is not a nice place to be, and its folded arms and spiky tail make it far from charming. Add in the single buck-tooth and this is one ugly meerkat. Greedent Every generation has : Rattata in Generation I, Sentret in Generation II, the aforementioned Watchog in Generation V. Now, in Sword and Shield, the world has been gifted this terrible squirrel named Greedent. Many players of the new Generation VIII games are tired of seeing this thing jump out of trees to attack them and for good reason. It's ugly and terrible. Rotund squirrels with Peter Griffin faces are already not a nice thing to picture, but this Pokémon takes it a step further. When you defeat it in battle, it drops berries that it was holding with its tail. But, it looks like it's, ahem, pooping them out. Purugly
While every generation has a rodent Pokémon, many of them also have a cat Pokémon, like Meowth or Purrloin. Glameow and Purrloin are the resident cats of the Sinnoh region, exuding an air of glamor and nobility. Purugly is the evolved form of the two. This fat cat is large and in charge presumably, growing to its large size from a diet of decadent meals and laziness. It's not ugly because of its weight, it's ugly because of its patterning, weird whiskers, and mean face. It's not higher on this list because it's meant to be ugly. Dunsparce
Poor Dunsparce. This lovable but weak Pokémon is widely-lauded by the fan base. It's very ugly and sad to look at, garnering laughs from many and sympathy from some. It's no secret that Dunsparce is an ugly Pokémon. Based on the Japenese cryptid, Dunsparce has a bunch of puzzling design features that seem mashed together and terrible. The cone-shaped tail, sad, closed eyes, and weird snake-like body all add to its ugliness. It seems being based off a cryptid will do that to you. Diggersby
What can be said about Diggersby that hasn't already been said a thousand times? This rabbit has made its way into the list of fans' least favorite Pokémon many times, widely ridiculed for its bad design and ugliness. Evolving from Bunnelby at level 20, Diggersby actually adds to the Ground-type next to Normal. This actually hinders it in its design, though, giving it a terrible brown and yellow color scheme, weird ears with hands on them, and a strange ring of fur around its mid-section. The strange beard on its face is reminiscent of a slobby drunk. Lickilicky
Once upon a time, Lickilicky didn't exist. The world was cursed with the abomination that is the vomitrocious Lickitung. "Can it be any worse than this?" the world thought. Game Freak answered: "Yes." Cue Lickilicky, an evolution for Lickitung introduced in Generation IV. This terrifying creature is easily one of the ugliest Pokémon in existence, and the grossest. As if Lickitung wasn't already a gross blob of flesh with a disgusting wet tongue, Lickilicky is a rounder, bigger ball of flesh with a more disgusting, wetter tongue. Slaking
Take a sloth, mash it up with a pig and a monkey, then mash that combination up with a giant, hairy man. That awful combination will result in that is extremely ugly. The whole "draw me like one of your French girls" pose that it's always in doesn't help, either. While the entire Slakoth line is pretty ugly, Slaking is by far the worst. Slakoth has some cuteness to it, and Vigoroth seems powerful. Slaking just seems like an oaf that exists to be ugly and lazy. Ambipom
There wasn't much wrong with Aipom. It was a semi-cute little monkey that had a fun feature — a hand for a tail. Sure, it's not the best Pokémon design in history, but it was a clear concept with some charm that was a nice addition to the Johto 'dex. Did the world need a larger version of it with blunt-cut bangs and engorged hands that look like cow udders sprouting out of its back like Doctor Octopus? Probably not! And yet, Ambipom was introduced in Generation IV anyway. This monkey is unnecessary and ugly, and its creepy smile isn't doing it any favors.
