Final Fantasy 5 Anime Characters Yuna Can Defeat & 5 She Can t

In a glorious Final Fantasy and anime mashup we take a look at anime characters that FF's Yuna could defeat, and some she couldn't. We don’t know why we do it, but we do. When you watch as much anime and play as many games as we do, it’s only a matter of time before the characters from each crossover in your head to cross swords in epic battles of steel and magic. Today, the focus is on two-time world savior, one time pop-star extraordinaire, High Summoner Yuna. Yuna is the of for those who may be unfamiliar with her. With access to magic, powerful summons, and jobs that increase her physical stats, she’s so much more than just a mage at this point in her journey. The question is, with all of her powers combined, who in the anime world can she defeat, and who is she not quite ready to take on? We’ve compiled 5 anime characters we think she can defeat and 5 she can’t, so read on to discover our take on these earth-shattering match ups. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Could Defeat Sakura Kinomoto Cardcaptos Sakura

While Sakura is not a magical girl to be sneezed at, her Clow cards wouldn’t stand a chance against Yuna’s aeons. Both girls have access to powerful, otherworldly creatures, but unfortunately for Sakura, Yuna’s appear to be much stronger. After all, their powers combined not only dreamed up an entire world but also destroyed the very thing that created the monster that easily leveled that world. Sakura’s Clow cards are tough, but Yuna’s aeons are tougher.

Couldn t Defeat Puck Re Zero

Puck is like a Final Fantasy mage’s worst nightmare. While a real battle wouldn’t necessarily rely on a numbered MP gauge, Yuna would still only have so much stamina before she was too tired to cast. This stamina is basically mana, and Puck relies on the draining of mana from the people and things around him to cast magic and unlock his true form. Yuna, unfortunately, would be drained and powerless in no time against this adorable spirit.

Could Defeat Naraku Inuyasha

Naraku may have given Inuyasha and friends all kinds of trouble, but his underhanded tactics would be weakened when used against Yuna. This match-up is in her favor not just because of her powerful aeons, magic, and jobs, but also because of her large arsenal of healing magics. Naraku heavily relies on poisons and mind control to defeat his enemies, but Yuna’s vast knowledge of white magic and would make him basically just some dude with a weird demon fetish. This battle would be over before it even began.

Could Not Byakuya Kuchiki Bleach

Byakuya’s blinding speed is his primary advantage here. There’s also his ridiculously powerful Bankai that would allow him to cover large areas of the battlefield with the deadly sharpness of Senbonzakura Kageyoshi. We feel that Byakuya would be able to attack before Yuna could complete a summon or change a dress sphere. This is one battle we just don't think she'd be quick enough for.

Could Sailor Moon Sailor Moon

One magical girl that Yuna could defeat, despite her power, is Sailor Moon. While Sailor Moon is the now and future queen, many of her strongest powers rely heavily upon any natural darkness that exists within her opponents. Yuna has no such darkness and would, therefore, be in a huge advantage state when facing her. With no darkness to draw on Sailor could easily be overpowered.

Could Not Tatsumaki One Punch Man

Tatsumaki has the advantage in this matchup not necessarily because of raw power, but rather the way her powers work. Unless Yuna was blindingly fast, Tatsumaki’s psychic abilities would be able to take Yuna by storm (Yes. Pun intended). Even with armor and abilities that would render her immune to Tatsumaki’s mind control, we’re pretty sure this is where Tatsumakis’ brute strength would win out. Yuna might stand a chance if she manages to damage her head though so it could be close.

Could Rem Re Zero

Rem is powerful, don’t get us wrong. But the extent of her power as we’ve seen is no match for Yuna’s vast array of white and black magic. Even in a battle of psychical attacks, we still think Yuna would take this home. With her dress spheres like Warrior, Samurai, Gunner, and Dark Knight, Yuna’s access to such a diverse array of weapons and skills would give her the leg up to keep Rem guessing and under constant pressure, and we all know how Rem is under pressure

Could Not Kaguya Otsutsuki Naruto

Kaguya is a from the moon who has literally never been defeated in any permanent way. It takes two people bearing the marks of her children to even seal her and Yuna is only one person. But, let’s pretend that that’s not mandatory, and these two are just fighting. Kaguya has the Byakugan and is the progenitor of chakra which would probably be MP in the Final Fantasy Universe. Yuna’s magic would be useless. and her Aeons banished faster than Seymour banishing them.

Could Madoka Kaname Puella Madoka Magika

There are several people who would disagree with this, and with good reason. We get it. Madoka is strong, like goddess strong. However, her biggest strength is in her ability to absorb the grief of magical girls. Her powers in ultimate form seem to be vastly limited by relying upon the grief of magical girls and their destinies. Also, it’s not as if Yuna hasn’t felled these types of creatures before. Yu Yevon, in particular, comes to mind in terms of proving Yuna’s ability to handle conceptual beings.

Could Not Lucy Elfen Lied

Lucy is such a badass that she served as a large source of inspiration for Stranger Things’, Eleven. Lucy’s telepathic powers grow so vast that she’s able to level a continent like a saltine cracker under a steel-toed boot. This is one matchup that the High Summoner just wouldn’t get out of. All of her aeons combined wouldn’t be enough to give her a fighting chance here.
