This is also more than the pre-pandemic levels — £176,000 for the fourth round and £111,000 for the third round. The individuals who were out in the opening round will be paid £50,000 each and those who reached the second round will earn £78,000 each. Once again, the amounts are higher than in 2019 where the minimum prize money for the first round was £45,000 while that for the second round was £72,000 per player. All in all, there was a 6.18% rise in the Wimbledon prize money this year.The total prize money for this year's will be a record £40.3m!
