PRESENTED BY Stanford head coach Tara VanDerveer earned her 1,000 career win on Friday night, as the Cardinal defeated USC 58-42 at Maples Pavilion. VanDerveer is now the third coach in NCAA basketball history to reach 1,000 wins, joining the late Pat Summitt and Duke's Mike Krzyzewski. VanDerveer and Summitt are now the only Division I women's basketball coaches to reach the milestone. One woman, one thousand wins.
