Outer Worlds 5 Intriguing Products Made By Megacorporations We d Like To Try & 5 We Wouldn t
The Outer Worlds is full of mega-corporations trying to sell you their strange products. Some look good, while others are clearly bad. whole premise is that you are in an universe that is controlled by mega-corporations. Throughout the game, you will find yourself forced to use items from these companies, and even the loading screen is filled with advertisements. With the oversaturation of marketing throughout the game's otherworldly quests, you may not even realize just how many different items are available for purchase in-game. To help you better understand the vast amount of products the game is begging the player to try, we have comprised a list of products that would be great to try out and a few that you should avoid at all costs. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Try Diet Toothpaste Auntie Cleo s
Depending on what path you decide to take in the game's comical toothpaste quest, you can either give the new product's recipe to Spacer's Choice or Auntie Cleo. For this list, we have decided that Auntie Cleo's version of the toothpaste is safest since the formula is stated to possibly cause blindness. The idea behind the product is that just by using diet toothpaste to brush your teeth twice a day, you can lose weight in no time. Using the diet toothpaste could be the weight loss solution the diet industry has been searching for. Avoid Spacer s Choice Guns
If you find yourself in a sci-fi firefight, then we sincerely hope you're not using a gun from Spacer's Choice. From the very start of the game, the player is told that Spacer's Choice guns have a bad habit of backfiring and have even been known to kill their users. This is a horrifying recollection as employees of the company have no choice but to use the faulty firearms. While all weapons may come with their own risks, a gun manufacturer should never be known for the way their guns blow up in the user's hands. Try Stimu-Lotion
Stimu-Lotion seems like a great alternative to the energy drinks gamers seem to be chugging down on the daily. Stimu-Lotion gives the player a 20% boost of speed in-game making them able to do tasks at a much faster rate while the product is in use. The item will last for around 20 seconds in-game. This product would be perfect to use before tests, in-between long work shifts, or even to help stay awake during boring events. Stimu-lotion doesn't even have to be ingested, so you won't even have to deal with a nasty aftertaste. Avoid Gourmet Saltuna Fillets
As you learn from visiting the Saltuna Cannery in the first area of the game, it's not likely your actually consuming fish when you pop open one of these cans. The Saltuna Cannery isn't even located where the fish are naturally caught, and when the player arrives, you learn that production is down because the factory is using any meat they can get their hands on to make the fillets. The idea of consuming space-age mystery meat just doesn't sit well with our stomachs, and to be honest, the creatures on Terra-2 aren't all that appetizing to look at. Try Purpleberry Fizzy Tea
Purpleberry flavored items seem to be all the rage in the Halcyon System. There are purpleberry snacks, juice, and alcohol, all products that the player can consume for a variety of status effects. We aren't really sure what a purpleberry is, but if it's good enough to have such a large product line, then it's probably worth a try, especially since carbonated tea isn't something you see every day. We can only imagine how strange it would be to brew a bag of fizzy tea in front of guests. We assume everybody would be equal parts amused and concerned as to why the boiling hot is making a fizzing sound. Avoid Wooly Curds
Space milk is strange enough without thinking about having to ingest a Wooly Curd. Not only is it milk from a strange creature, but milk that comes in a brown sack just doesn't sound that appetizing. For whatever reason, though, this questionable bag of dairy is a popular choice among the Holycon Systems inhabitants. The product is coagulated wooly milk that is easy to store and can be ingested on the go. Putting the word coagulated anywhere near our milk makes us want to give this product a solid no. Try Iceberg Age Whiskey
Trying different types of alcohol is a common past-time for many adults. A premium beverage cultivated in the finest ice caves sounds like a refreshing drink that we'd love to try. Iceberg Age Whisky is made by Glacial Age, a company who only dabbles in a small variety of products instead of trying to capitalize on every idea they come across. Thanks to the companies better than average record in the Halycon System, we would trust trying both their Iceberg derived alcohol and water much more than the competitor products. Avoid Deep Fried Cysty-Bits
When we say there is nothing appetizing about the thought of Deep Fried Cysty-Bits, we think most players are likely to agree. While calling it "cysty bites" is likely to make it sound more family-friendly, the name is just gross. From meeting your first Cyst pig in the game, players can tell that these grossly deformed creatures are very possibly a hazard to consume. Even so, the Halycon System is littered with Cyst ridden products that make us want to gag. Even the packaging description lets you know that this is a bag full of leftover by-products from deep frying cyst pig meat. Try Tartarus Sauce
Tartarus Sauces is harvested from the atmosphere and said to go great with just about any meat. This unique sauce gives you the same buff as meat without you having to consume products made from any of the strange space critters that litter the Halycon System. The sauce is said to have a tangy taste, so we imagine that it is a healthy alternative to BBQ sauce. Why the item is likely just a reference to tartar sauce, especially since the description says it works great with fish sticks, we still can't help but want to try it. Avoid Facial Masque Skin Crème
When you think about using skin-care, you should really be careful about the products that you are placing on your face. Not only can strange products cause nasty rashes and break-outs, but you can have a full-blown allergic reaction to strange products like the ones you find in space. Facial Masque Skin Crème promises to clear up the players face but has a warning telling you to avoid heavy machinery for two hours after use. This is a bit concerning since you usually see this warning on alcohol and strong medications.
