Persona 5 The 10 Strongest Fortune Arcana Personas Ranked According To Strength

The Fortune Arcana has some pretty powerful personas. Here's how they all rank. 'The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed... Alongside time exists fate, the bearer of cruelty.' This is the mantra of the Fortune , that through which the fate of those so inclined is in the hands of luck and chance. This can be seen in the confidants who try to take their fate into their own hands, typically indicative of knowing their own fate or the fate of others. In Persona 5, the character responsible for representing this arcana is Chihaya Mifune, a fortune teller the protag meets in Shinjuku. On her outfit, she bears the Wheel of Fortune in a repeating pattern, the symbol that's associated with the Fortune arcana. While not the most popular character due to her unique gifts, her fortune-telling ability is legitimate, revealing things about the protag that she could not have previously known. She's responsible for acknowledging the reversal of fate and all of the changes it can, and does, bring. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Stone Of Scone

The only reason the Stone of Scone made the list is because it is a treasure demon, and it can be used later on to fuse powerful personas. They can only be found after the date of May 18th and are first noticed in Madarame's palace. They can also be found on rainy days in Mementos, and throughout every other palace in the game from that point on. They come equipped with abilities which are useful for fusing certain personas, making them well worth obtaining.

Clotho

Clotho makes an appearance in the earlier Shin Megami Tensei games as well as Persona 5. According to the DemiKids Demonary, she is 'one of three sisters of fate who weaves the threads of destiny that govern life'. While it sounds like a pretty heavy responsibility, Clotho isn't the most powerful of the Fortuna arcana personas. In Persona 5, she has quite a range of status ailments that are useful against those enemies which are susceptible to them.

Ariadne

The myth goes that Ariadne is the daughter of King Minos, who fell in love with Theseus. Shortly after Theseus was killed, Ariadne became the wife of Dionysus, who brought her back from the dead so they could live in Olympus in the company of the other Greek gods. In Persona 5, her abilities include a respectable amount of elemental magic in addition to evasion and attack boosts, giving players the opportunity to deal twice as much in damage.

Lachesis

Similar to Clotho, Lachesis is yet another sister who possesses a fate-related ability. It's said that she appears by the side of newborns in order to decide their fate. While the mythology regarding the three sisters varies, they are said to be sisters of the night, bringing with them unusual powers. Lachesis can only be obtained via fusion while visiting the Velvet Room, and she excels in ice-related attacks. She also offers cure of certain elemental attacks, but is better-equipped against enemies weak to ice.

Atropos

The third and final sister is Atropos, and perhaps the most intimidating. Whereas the other sisters are responsible for the fate of the living, Atropos is said to be the one who ends one's life. She metaphorically 'cuts the thread of fate', according to Shin Megami Tensei Wiki. She is also seen in the earlier Shin Megami Tensei games, and brings with her elemental damage in all forms. Unlike her sisters who specialize in certain , she casts fire, ice, electric, and force damage.

Fortuna

Fortuna is the goddess daughter of Jupiter, responsible for fortune and luck. She brings with her the job of turning the Wheel of Fortune, making her a perfect representation of the Fortune arcana. From her, players can obtain the Fast Heal skill card, but she can only be created through fusion in the Velvet Room. She's also seen in Persona 3 and Persona 4, as well as the early Shin Megami Tensei games. In Persona 5, she deals wind damage and brings with her an evasion to electric attacks.

Norn

Now, for something a bit different. Norn was first seen in Norse mythology and is the name for multiple women responsible for ruling fates of multiple races. In the game, Norn can first be seen in Makoto's palace as a shadow the player will have to fight. While she does start off at a higher base level than the other personas, her abilities consist of three main attacks: heavy wind damage, heavy electric damage, and the full restoration of HP to one player.

Asterius

There are actually two versions of Asterius in Greek mythology, which is likely why Persona 5 has an original version and a Picaro version. The first tells the tale of a bull-headed monster wielding an axe, he's what we refer to now as the Minotaur. Both he and Asterius Picaro are part of the compendium as optional DLC, and worth it to have a powerful Fortune arcana persona.

Asterius Picaro

Similar to its original form, Asterius, both of these personas have the ability Titanomachia. This power is their strongest in the game but just as they're strong, they also have a weak point. Asterius warns the protag that upon letting his guard down, the bull-headed persona will destroy him. Both personas also have additional fire attacks, along with shield, a fire boost, and colossal physical damage that applies to all enemies.

Lakshmi

Lakshimi is the strongest of all the Fortuna-related personas, starting with a base level of 69. However, Persona 5 is not the first time she is seen. Her origins span all the way back to and she has made appearances in Persona 2, Persona 3, and Persona 4 before her most recent appearance in Persona 5. She appears as the Hindu goddess of good fortune and beauty, and is the wife of Vishnu and also the mother of Kama. Upon maxing out the social rank with Chihaya, players will finally have the option to create Lakshimi through fusion in the Velvet Room. She brings with her powerful healing abilites as well as evasion, ice damage, and Sleep to enemies who are vulnerable.
