Bouchard started the scoring with a RBI-single up the middle followed by Chase Strumpf driving in a run with a sacrifice fly to make the score 2-0. Jack Stronach would then clear the bases with two runners on as he ripped a double to right-center field for the 4-0 advantage. UCLA extended its lead to 6-0 in the second inning as Gavin Johns and Stephens led off the inning with-back-to-back singles and came around to score two batters later as Bouchard hit a double to right field for his third RBI of the game. Ryan Kreidler pushed the Bruins lead to 7-0 in the bottom of the third inning as he hit a solo home run over the left-field wall. OSU scored its only run of the contest in the eighth inning as Nick Madrigal hit a RBI-double to right field. Ceja (2-3) earns the win tossing 6.0 shutout innings and collected six strikeouts. He scattered four hits and just one walk over his six innings of work. Bryce Fehmel (4-2) suffered the loss allowing six runs on seven hits in just 1.1 innings of work. The Bruins finished the game with seven runs on 12 hits and one error, while the Beavers scored one run on five hits with no errors. UCLA will play Oregon State in the rubber match of this three-game Pac-12 series on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. from Jackie Robinson Stadium.
