Fallout 76 Hackers Manage To Add NPCs Before Official DLC

Bethesda is likely to take action and release an update to Fallout 76 that stops the script from functioning correctly. Back in October, Bethesda that the free DLC update titled Wastelanders for would be delayed until the first quarter of 2020. One of the most desired features of the update was the implementation of NPCs, and the fact that this was being delayed meant fans had even more time to wait. However, in an interesting turn of events, some Fallout 76 hackers managed to find a way to put NPCs into the game along with many other items. This past weekend, Unknowncheats.me user by the name of ErectBAN made a on the website in which he released a cheat script for Fallout 76. In return, the script allowed players to spawn various items within the game like weapons, armor, and even NPCs. In his post, ErectBAN also warned those who want to give the script a try by saying, "This release will most likely be hotfixed instantly [...] After you create your items, store them on a mule account, do this at your own risk." At the end of the post, the hacker also provided a series of instructions on how to correctly use the cheat. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY via: Bethesda After the script was released, a Fallout 76 group named Dupers R Us experimented with the cheats and shared their results via email with other publications. In summary, they were able to spawn NPCs but they were limbless. The solution was to leave and re-enter the same server or world in order to make the NPCs have limbs. Additionally, once spawned, the NPCs would wander around players' camps and attack anyone who attacked the players. As far as combat goes, some of the NPCs would spawn without clothes or without weapons, but the issue is something the hackers are looking into. Since this is still a form of cheating and is unintended, Bethesda is likely to take action and release an update that stops the script from functioning correctly. As far as the people/players behind the cheats and the script go, there is also the possibility that they may get banned since Bethesda does with them. Nonetheless, when Wastelanders does release next year, official NPCs will finally be included in the game. Source: ,
