Here’s everything that’s new so far. The Vex have left the moon. With the death of (which will have to be renamed), the threat of a Vex apocalypse has been stopped, but that doesn’t mean a Guardian’s work is done. where the Cabal are trying to use Vex tech to undo the Red War and find a reality where the Cabal take over the galaxy. This means there’s a new seasonal activity on Mercury: the Sundial. The activity is relatively straight-forward: go help Osiris by killing a whole bunch of Cabal and then a Cabal Psion that’s leading the temporal charge. In return, you’ll get a new seasonal resource called Fractiline that you’ll use to unlock a whole bunch of stuff on at Obelisks scattered throughout the system. To summarize: each Obelisk will provide weekly bounties to acquire more Fractiline, bounties to acquire new seasonal weapons, and can connect to the Sundial to provide additional reward options when performing the seasonal activity. Obelisks can also be upgraded to increase the rewards you get from the Sundial as well as provide Fractiline while performing other activities.

Saving A Hero

Besides the Sundial, Osiris has a few other tasks for you to do. He’s a little bugged at the moment, so these quests might not be immediately apparent after your first visit. Just walk away and come back to see the list of quests, which includes making a year three version of the Perfect Paradox shotgun and a quest to go save Saint-XIV. via Bungie Season of fthe Dawn Along with the Perfect Paradox, there are a few new seasonal weapons to grind for at the Sundial. They're all pretty good and have some brand new perks, including Vorpal, Osmosis, and Elemental Capacitor. The Symmetry Exotic Scout Rifle is also provided as part of the Season Pass (which you get immediately if you go for the paid version), while other new exotics have been added to the drop table. Three new Ritual weapons have arrived for Strikes, Gambit, and Crucible players. They seem to be a lot easier to obtain than the Ritual weapons from Season of the Undying, with some players already grabbing all three in less than a week! A new season means a new seasonal artifact. The Lantern of Osiris switches things up from last season's Gatelord's Eye. Anti-Barrier, Overload, and Unstoppable mods are on the first tier, while the Enhanced Loader mods are on the second tier. These mods seem focused on ranged weapons, such as bows, scout rifles, sniper rifles, and linear fusion rifles, so expect to spend a lot more time away from the fray this season. via Bungie Season of the Dawn Not only do you get seasonal mods from the artifact, you’ll also get them from Obelisks. Each piece of seasonal armor has a seasonal mod slot for you to slot these Obelisk mods into. It’s still too early in the season for everyone to have unlocked them all, so builds are still being investigated, but these mods seem to have a lot of potential. Mercury has been tweaked: now you can ride your Sparrow on the closest planet to the sun, and the regional armor now has a seasonal mod slot for everyone to have an alternative to the Sundial armor.

Old Classes See A New Dawn

Finally, the Solar Trees have been reworked for every class. Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters all have newly tweaked abilities that help them compete with their Void and Arc brethren. A lot of mods and Exotic gear seems to focus on Solar abilities, so expect these new trees to be a feature as the season progresses. via Bungie Season of the Dawn This Tuesday brings , Destiny 2’s holiday-themed event where Eva comes back to give good Guardians good stuff. A new submachine gun will be available, while last Dawning’s machine gun will also be available.
