PRESENTED BY Boise State spent Saturday posting another win to its unblemished record. However, during the Broncos’ matchup against Colorado State, Boise State broke multiple program records. The Broncos first broke their own FBS-era record for the longest season-opening stretch without trailing, tallying a total playing time of 307:36 minutes without falling behind. Boise State just eclipsed the previous FBS-era (1996-present) mark of not trailing for the forst 306:35 of a season (currently at 306:56) — Boise State Football (@BroncoSportsFB) While Boise State walked away with a victory, Colorado State caused the Broncos to trail for the first time in 2016 after posting a 39-yard field goal with a little more than seven minutes left in the first quarter. Until this point, Boise State remained the only team to avoid falling behind before that point. Just a few minutes earlier and the Broncos would not have been able to break the record, for the previous time gone without trailing was 306:35 in 2009. However, the team as a whole was not the only one to break a school record. Also during this game, McMichols ran 80-yards for a touchdown, propelling him to now own three of the five longest runs from scrimmage in Boise State history.
