Despite the animation studio behind it shuttering, the Sonic movie's merchandising bandwagon is in full effect. via Comic Book It's all systems go for Sonic the Hedgehog, now that the blue blur's design has been improved upon, and info on the merch that will accompany the movie has been released. If you had told us in 1993 that 2019 would be one of 's biggest years to date, chances are we would not have believed you. If you had added that the reason for that would be due to the announcement of a live-action movie starring the hedgehog hero , we'd have laughed you out of whatever building we were in at the time. 1993 was the year that played host to a live-action movie that bombed, and that's putting it lightly. If Mario and Luigi couldn't make the transition to the big screen, why do Paramount and SEGA think Sonic can? If those entities had gone ahead and released the movie without first showing us Sonic, it might well have been as disastrous as the Mario movie. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY via USgamer might still be an unmitigated disaster when it's released in theaters worldwide on February 14, 2020, but at least Sonic will look good now that his design has been tweaked.
