PRESENTED BY MADISON, Wis. — After averaging a phenomenal 5.88 kills per set on the weekend, freshman Molly Haggerty of the Wisconsin volleyball team was named AVCA Player of the Week. With 20 kills at No. 2 Texas, Haggerty recorded back-to-back 20-plus kill matches. She also had 14 digs against the Longhorns, which gave her the third double-double of her career. Haggerty also had a career-high four service aces against Texas, including one in the fifth set that pulled the Badgers within one point (14-13). The Glen Ellyn, Illinois, native added 2.25 digs, 0.50 service aces and 0.50 blocks per set while hitting .387 on the weekend. RELATED: On the season, Haggerty leads the Badgers and ranks seventh in the Big Ten with 4.00 kills per set. She leads all freshmen in the Big Ten in kills per set and ranks sixth among rookies with a .243 hitting percentage.
