The New York Excelsior sign WhoRU, adding even more depth to an already impressive DPS line. The New York Excelsior have consistently been a top team during the first two seasons of the . They haven't been able to reach the pinnacle yet, but after a few offseason roster moves, the NYXL look to make a run in the 2020 season. New York announced that DPS player, Seung-jun "WhoRU" Lee, would be joining the team heading into next season. WhoRU is a legend in professional Overwatch. He was part of the Lunatic-Hai run where they won APEX Season 2 and Season 3 which was considered the highest level of competition prior to the beginning of the Overwatch League. His stellar Genji play in Lunatic-Hai's dominant dive comp made him a household name and he finally gets his chance on the Overwatch League stage after recently becoming eligible to play since turning 18. He also enjoyed a dominant run as part of Fusion University during the first season of Overwatch Contenders. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY WhoRU is a flexible DPS player who excels on heroes such as Genji and Pharah. He joins an impressive lineup of damage dealers in New York that include Yeon-kwan "Nenne" Jeong, Do-hyeon "Pine" Kim, Hae-seong "Libero" Kim and Jong-ryeol "Saebyeolbe" Park. With so many star damage dealers on a single team, it can be difficult to find play time, with Pine getting no stage time in 2019 at all while Libero, Nenne and SBB were in constant rotation. The New York Excelsior have made a few roster moves during the offseason with the biggest being the release of their strong off tank Tae-hong "MekO" Kim and picking up Hong-joon "HOTBA" Choi as his replacement. It seems as if the NYXL are starting to shift towards a more aggressive type of team and with a plethora of incredibly strong DPS players, New York look to be one of the best teams in the league again heading into 2020.
