Jimmy Garoppolo s future with the San Francisco 49ers remains uncertain

Coming into the 2022 season, the San Francisco 49ers appear set on giving their young quarterback the starting role. This would mean an exit for Garoppolo, who is currently recovering from shoulder surgery. There has not been much interest in trading for the quarterback yet, as teams seem cautious about making a move until he has fully recuperated. In the meantime, he remains with the 49ers but is expected to move on before the season kicks off. There will be no shortage of suitors for the former Patriot, with several teams potentially needing a veteran under center. The likely landing-spots are the Seattle Seahawks, the Carolina Panthers and potentially the Houston Texans. Garoppolo would be an upgrade on all the quarterbacks those franchises currently have on their rosters. Other franchises will likely enter the fray depending on pre-season injuries or suspensions.
