Persona 4 may have released over a decade ago, but that doesn't mean cosplayers have forgotten about it or the adorable meat-eater Chie. Nearly 12 years old, is still a really popular game. Its popularity has earned it a remake, several spinoff games, a manga, a light novel, an anime, tons of merchandise, and even a stage play! The story of high schoolers solving a murder mystery within their small town while fighting creatures called Shadows makes for an entertaining game. The game's popularity is also in part to the characters themselves, as players get to see who each member of the Investigation Team is down to their core. One of those characters is Chie Satonaka, a spunky girl with an interest in martial arts.Chie has an outwardly aggressive personality, but she's also noble, which makes her a lot of people's favorite girl in the game—and their favorite character to . Dejikodaioh is a photographer as well as a cosplayer, and, back in July of 2017, he took this and many other photos to make a pretty awesome collection of Chie Satonaka photos. Chie is known for her signature green and yellow coat and her tomboyish personality. Her personality and her perception that she's undesirable in boy's eyes, especially compared to her best friend Yukiko, leads to her insecurity over her own feminity early in the game. Choosing to portray Chie in her winter uniform, Weirdtakoyaki mentions that the skirt was made by her friend, but the jacket was made by her using a catsuit pattern and painting the lines of the jacket with acrylics. She also remarks how much she really likes Chie, identifying with her since she's a martial artist. This group cosplay is of Chie, the protagonist, Yukiko and Rise in their Dancing All Night outfits. Cosplaying as Chie is with Vivi Cakes, Maiitsu, and Paulomatica as Rise, Yukiko, and Yu, respectively. Pyropi is a cosplayer and vlogger and she often cosplays with her friends as a group. Chie and Yukiko's friendship is a pretty important aspect of both girls' character. Despite the feelings they were hiding from one another at the beginning of the game, their friendship persisted and even grew stronger. One of Chie's wishes is to protect everyone, especially Yukiko, and that is what drives her to keep training and become stronger both physically and mentally.
