10 Things That Make No Sense About The Sims 4

The Sims 4 is an absolutely wild game. Sometimes, it's to the point of absurdity. Some of these things about The Sims 4 just make no sense! EA's is a life simulation game that allows players to create a character, also known as a Sim, and then control absolutely everything about their life. Players can control how they look, their personality, their voice, and even how they walk. Then, the player's Sim is unleashed on the world. Because this is the fourth main game in The Sims franchise, there are already some things from previous games that players can look back on. From premade characters that have appeared in past games to features that no longer exist, there are some things that make this game less than logical. There s No Fire Department

One of the most fun parts of playing The Sims 4 is designing, building, and decorating a dream house for our Sims to live in. And one of the most important rooms is the kitchen. When building a kitchen, there are a ton of different options for counters, cabinets, and appliances that you can choose from. One of the things that you can choose to put into your kitchen is a smoke detector. This is important because you definitely want the fire department to be alerted if there's a fire in your Sim's home, right? That's what they were used for in past games, so that must be why they're in this game, right? Wrong. Despite having a smoke detector, there's no fire department in this game to come help your Sim if their kitchen catches on fire.

A Detective Career With No Police

There are quite a few different career paths that Sims can take in The Sims 4. One of them is the detective career. Sims go to work, book criminals, and head out into the world to investigate crimes. While having the police come to your Sim's home to investigate after a burglar came was a fun and infuriating part of past Sims games, that has been removed from The Sims 4. Even though burglars no longer randomly show up and steal from your Sims, the law enforcement career still exists... But there are no actual police in the game outside of that career.

Nina And Dina Got A New Mom

Nina and Dina Caliente are and have been in the franchise since The Sims 2. The two of them are supposed to be twin sisters, but they have absolutely nothing in common. The pair had some major drama in the way of scripted events in The Sims 2 that involved Don Lothario and Bella Goth. Although the two of them didn't have a complete family in the game in The Sims 2 when they were introduced, they did have parents in the game in the form of Nighat and Flamenco Caliente. But, in The Sims 4, they have a new mom by the name of Katrina Caliente who is younger and very much alive.

And She s Dating Don

In The Sims 2, one of the storylines in the game that players could see through if they chose to play the premade characters involved the Caliente sisters and Don Lothario. Even though Don was engaged to Cassandra Goth, he was also dating both Dina and Nina and his maid, Kaylynn. But, in The Sims 4, their storyline has been changed and now is just strange. Both Dina and Nina and their new mom, Katrina, live with Don in his large home. The household's description implies that Don is romantically involved with Katrina, but also opens up the possibility that something else is going on there. Apparently, some things never change.

While Cassandra Is A Teen

In The Sims 2, the Goth family was going through some things. Bella, the matriarch of the family, had mysteriously disappeared and Cassandra was an adult who was engaged to Don Lothario. Meanwhile, Cassandra lived with her child brother, Alexander, and her elder father, Mortimer. But, the storyline in The Sims 4 has been changed in a lot of ways. One of the biggest changes is the fact that Bella was brought back and everyone except Alexander was aged down. Bella and Mortimer are a young adult and adult, respectively, while Cassandra is a teen.

Vampires Can Have Babies

Anyone who has seen works of vampire fiction like the Twilight series will know that supernatural creatures cannot have children. The fact that Bella and Edward managed to have a baby was a huge plot twist in the series because vampires just can't do that. But, in The Sims 4, supernatural creatures having babies is perfectly fine. Aliens can impregnate male Sims after they've been abducted and aliens can have babies. And , vampires can go into their bat form and have a vampire baby with another vampire. Confusing, right?

The Sims In The Sims

The Sims is a game that lets us control everything that our Sims do. And just like people, Sims can get bored and seek out entertainment. That can come in many forms from dancing to a stereo, having a fun conversation with another Sim, watching a movie, or even playing a game on a computer or console. If your Sim goes to a computer and you select the "gaming" tab, you'll see a whole list of video games that they can play there, based on their gaming skill level. And one of those options allows your Sim to play The Sims.

Guests Are Super Rude

When we go over to someone's house in real life, we typically try to be polite. Most people ask before they come over and are respectful while they're in another person's house. But, this isn't the case in The Sims 4. Sims will just come over unannounced and get really offended if your Sim doesn't answer the door to accept their "welcome to the neighborhood" plate of fruitcake. And if you let them in, Sims will help themselves to your Sim's snacks and even use their computer until it breaks down.

A Relationship With Santa

With the Seasons expansion pack for The Sims 4, Sims finally got a bunch of new holidays and new types of weather. One of the holidays is a winter celebration similar to Christmas. During this holiday, a Santa Claus-inspired figure even comes to bring gifts! And if your Sim really loves the wintertime, you can even with Father Winter. Crime Really Pays

We all know that crime definitely does not pay... Except in The Sims 4, where it actually kind of does. In The Sims 4, there's a huge variety of different careers that Sims are able to choose from through their phone or computer. Among them is the criminal career path. Although it's awesome that Sims are able to make money in a more unconventional way, it totally makes no sense that this career path is just openly advertised next to the other jobs.
