The 10 Best Shiny Ultra Beasts In Pokémon

The Ultra Beasts are a new breed of Pokémon that were introduced in the Alolan Region, and they come with some fantastic shiny forms. In Sun and Moon, Ultra Beasts are a new type of Pokémon that came from another world, and thus look very different from the type of design that we've come to know from the series. Today, we're going to be looking at some of these Ultra Beasts. More specifically, we're going to be looking at their shiny forms, and looking at ten of the best of them, in no particular order. Let's get right on into it. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Poipole

Shiny Poipole is an absolutely great design for the Ultra Beast. In fact, Poipole's shiny design looks better than its evolved form, Naganadel. Naganadel looks like a very large and angry bee. Poipole, however, switches out the purple for a nice gold and white look. It looks very regal, and those blue eyes really add a finishing pop that ties it all together. While the purple Poipole isn't a bad look at all, its shiny colors elevate it to a new level that really pushes it over the "good shiny" edge.

Pheromosa

Pheromosa is SUCH a weird Pokémon. It's a cockroach, yet is for some reason designed after a model-like woman, too? Those two things do not go together in the slightest, yet for some reason we have Pheromosa. Anyway, shiny Pheramosa switches out the bottom half of her little cockroach body for some powerful black dress pants. What a businesswoman. It's an odd design choice, but somehow feels right for this cockroach that is the CEO of several businesses, all of which are on the Fortune 500 list. Pheramosa is on the cover of Time Magazine in her shiny form, what are you doing?

Dawn Wings Necrozma

via: marietheshinyarticuno.tumblr.com via: marietheshinyarticuno.tumblr.com Depending on who you ask, Necrozma is an Ultra Beast, so we're going to say that he is. Dawn Wings Necrozma is the form that Necrozma takes when merged with Lunala, and it is quite the beauty, huh? It takes some obvious inspiration from Lunala's red shiny colors, but lightens things up a bit. The colors that Necrozma brings to the table pair well with the red, and overall the color scheme is a pretty stark contrast from the usual blue and black that Dawn Wings Necrozma has.

Nihilego

Shiny Lillie isn't anything too off from the base form, opting to change out the blue hat for a gold one. Beyond that, the body colors are lightened up to a brighter white than the base form. Shiny Nihilego doesn't really do anything too wild to stray from the base colors. However, the change from blue to gold is a notable one, and overall provides a clean look for this absolute disaster of a Pokémon. Truly just awful, but that's beside the point.

Guzzlord

Then again, all of the Ultra Beasts are... well they're horrible beasts that's for sure. This is the case for Guzzlord, who has a radically different shiny form from its base design. Shiny Guzzlord really takes the pumpkin look to the next level, getting a lot of orange in there, which is paired with a bright white. This replaces the blueish-black and yellow color scheme that normal Guzzlord(s) don. That's not a look in the slightest, so this sure is an improvement, even if it isn't exactly anything beautiful. Look, Guzzlord is doing his best, let him live.

Dusk Mane Necrozma

The Dusk Mane Necrozma form is Solgaleo fused with Necrozma, and it obviously takes cues from both the Pokémon it is fused with, just like Dawn Wings Necrozma. It has the exact same color scheme as the aforementioned Dawn Wings, as Lunala and Solgaleo share a shiny form together. Thus, it makes sense that both fusions would take a spot on the list. The pinkish-red and blue still look great, and combine to form an absolutely fantastic shiny Pokémon.

Celesteela

Shiny Celesteela is another shiny Ultra Beast that looks great. This metal monstrosity has another pretty lowkey shiny color scheme. Overall, it just looks like Celesteela went through a car wash, honestly. The greenish metal that Celesteela usually carries is swapped out for a brighter, whiter exterior. This isn't a bad thing at all. Celesteela's usual color scheme is just dull, so the brighter one is an overall improvement all around. Celesteela is one that you're really going to want to hunt down, it's worth it.

Kartana

Kartana is looking great, too! Kartana makes only the slightest of changes in its shiny coloration. The base white and orange color that makes up the majority of the Pokémon is unchanged. The... scarf (??) becomes white on the version, too. And then, the middle of the body turns to a royal blue. This color scheme works very well, as the orange and blue contrast each other very well (check your color wheels, people!), and white goes with everything. Overall, both versions of Kartana are enjoyable, and the shiny is great, even if the adjustments aren't anything too crazy.

Ultra Necrozma

via: reddit.com/user/EliteRobo04/ Shiny Ultra Necrozma is absolutely great. The gold coloring of the original is great, and works well for a Pokémon as fearsome as Ultra Necrozma. However, the blue coloring that the shiny dons is just as great. It's a completely different vibe from the original gold, but gives a new, space-ish vibe that fits very well. It looks great, and especially considering where it is that you meet this incredibly powerful Pokémon, it fits the vibe.

Buzzwole

Buzzwole, the awful swole (literally who came up with these things), has a really interesting shiny design. Buzzwole is red all over usually, and the shiny version turns a lot of that red color into green. This is a nice change, as Buzzwole looks fine in its normal version, but the green just spices things up a bit. It helps to keep Buzzwole interesting. This one can really just come down to preference, but it certainly is a bigger statement than many of the others on this list.
