Smell Like The Hunt With Official Monster Hunter Perfume
Capcom's Tokyo store has been updated with a line of perfumes based on popular Capcom games. In the past, Capcom has made some incredibly weird merchandise to promote its games. Things like a and come to mind, but this latest piece might take the cake. For whatever reason, there exists a line of inspired perfumes that will let you smell like your favorite monsters. No, this isn't an elaborate joke. Seemingly to start the holiday season with a bang, Capcom's Tokyo store website has been updated with some new lines of perfume products. These include scents based on Monster Hunter Generations, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, Devil May Cry 5, and Phoenix Wright. Now you, too, can smell like Godot (which, presumably, smells like coffee beans) or Edgeworth. You can even reek of a Rathalos and strike fear into the hearts of your friends. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Each set will come with three bottles (save for the Phoenix Wright defense attorney package) that will run you 4,200 Yen. They'll be bottled in 10 ml containers that should give you a decent amount of usage out of them. It'll certainly come in handy for your next jury duty summons, at any rate. Source: Capcom JP Novelty perfumes like this aren't a new thing. Capcom hasn't previously dived into this field, but you can buy a whole range of made-up scents to spray on yourself. Want to ? That's totally doable. Fox's hit show Glee even had a based on popular covers. It's sort of bizarre what you can find. Capcom getting in on this likely isn't the company jumping on a recent craze. Japan just likes weird stuff. There are a ton of fan service-like merchandise pieces you can buy from the country. Whether or not it makes sense to the rest of the world, Japanese fans love their hobbies. They are more understanding of the impact that media has on a person. So, yeah, it totally makes sense why there would be scents based on fictional monsters. It's unlikely smell like what you'd assume, but isn't that the fun in wearing it? Source:
