There will be many “winks” to the previous game, including a character select screen of each hero sitting around a fire, the Druid class, and skills that seem to be taken directly from Diablo 2. It’s also going to be even more gothic than Diablo 3. "Diablo 4 is actually going to look dark, gritty and gross," writes Mr. Brush. "Locations are toned down, infrequently laid with corpses, wasteland, greyish deserts, clut [sic] caves surrounded by flesh, rotten crypts, marshes and bogs, plagued cities you name it." Weight was added to this leak by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad on Twitter, who said that this jives with what he’s heard as well. "Takes what people loved about D2 style, improves on D3 combat." We’ll see when D4 is finally revealed at BlizzCon this weekend. Hopefully.
