According to reports, the Nets believed there would be a bidding war for Durant's services, but that hasn't been the case. Many teams cannot offer enough in exchange for the four-time scoring champion, which is why a trade has not yet been made. One of the teams rumored to be interested in signing Durant is his former franchise, the Golden State Warriors. NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins, Durant's former teammate, believes this wouldn't be a great move for the forward. "KD going back to Golden State after they just won the championship, that's a big hell no," said Perkins. "And yes it would tarnish his legacy forever." With two championships, four scoring titles, 12 All-Star appearances and numerous other accolades, Kevin Durant is one of the best players in NBA history.
