Via: Android Police The newest title in the popular franchise, Angry Birds AR: Isle of Pigs, has just been released for Android devices. Angry Birds AR: Isle of Pigs is an augmented reality that brings the beloved birds you remember to the real-world. The game is pretty similar to past Angry Birds iterations, with the same goal of killing green pigs by launching the eponymous "angry birds" at them. Use a slingshot to aim at a shoddily constructed fort, and points are given out based on how cleanly and quickly you crush the pigs. However, there's a twist. Thanks to ARCore compatibility, players can bring the Isle of Pigs anywhere in the real world, as long as there's a flat surface. Whether that's your kitchen table, your work desk, or even your a bar table - all players have to do is position their phone, look through the screen, and just aim and adjust their slingshot to fire. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY But just seeing the pigs in your living room isn't the only novelty of the game. If that wasn't cool enough, because of the augmented reality, players will be able to physically walk around the pigs' structures in the real world, which can help them get a better idea of certain weak points in their haphazard structures and strategize ways to aim and fire. Plus, the game allows for size adjustments depending on where players are playing. For example, if you're playing out in a big open field, you can increase their height to a lifelike size; or if you're in a work cubicle, you can shrink them so they fit right on your desk. The Android version currently has 78 levels, giving players a wealth of opportunities to play. From cities, deserts, ice hideouts, and jungles, there's a plethora of settings to keep players on their toes. The game was actually released earlier this year, but only for iOS devices. Now, thanks to this release for Android, everyone can experience the joy of slinging 3D birds at augmented reality pigs. Angry Birds AR: Isle of Pigs is currently available on iOS and Android devices. The game is free-to-play with in-app purchases. Source:
