Hitman Goes Retro With New Halloween Trailer

Hitman 2 will be getting a Halloween-themed Escalation Contract which was just announced with a spooky new trailer. As has been the case in the past, is getting festive this year with an add-on related one of the year's biggest holidays. will be getting a Halloween-themed Escalation Contract which was just announced with a spooky new trailer. In Hitman 2's "Halloween Trailer" video, the trailer cuts between a variety of scary images, seemingly inspired by horror movies that have come before it. Images include those of sleeping victims, a pumpkin-headed villain (presumably Agent 47), holy crosses, spooky trees, and more. It also shows several scarecrows and other things one would expect to see much of around Halloween. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Nothing seems to be much different gameplay-wise. New weapons are hinted at, but no new mechanics have been added as the trailer indicates. This add-on, which will come in a free update, apparently takes place in Hawkes Bay. Hawkes Bay is the location of the first mission and appears to be conducive to the horrifying romp that this add-on seems to be. The end of the trailer for the free update shows that players will get access to both a Tactical Wetsuit outfit and a Bat Shuriken, which is almost certainly inspired by the Batarang— a gadget frequently used by Batman (in case you didn't know). It is not shown in the trailer how the Bat Shuriken will be used in the game, though it could ultimately be used as either a tool for distraction or as a weapon. This trailer is especially reminiscent of horror movie trailers seen over the years and, as mentioned previously, Hitman has gotten festive in past add-ons, as well. For example, 2016's Hitman featured a Christmas-themed add-on that required the player to eliminate, essentially, Harry and Marv from the classic film Home Alone. In the Paris-based level, there were tons of Christmas decorations, holiday-themed weapons, and even a Santa Claus NPC who players could knock out or eliminate and take his outfit. Source:
