There won't be any loot boxes in Modern Warfare... at least not just yet. via gamerevolution.com is less than two weeks away from launch but its monetization methods are still the subject of speculation as Infinity Ward has so far kept that aspect under wraps. What we can tell you is the developers aren't working on any loot box systems at the moment. That is according to Studio art director Joel Emslie, who has knocked back a YouTuber's claims regarding such. Said YouTuber, who's been known to leak information on upcoming video game titles, told fans the game will include a microtransaction system that hides certain weapons behind a paywall. Emslie has taken to Reddit to rubbish the claim. "Sigh. There continues to be misinformed and incorrect info being pushed about Modern Warfare," he wrote.
