NO ONE Has Pitched These Characters For Smash Yet

There are currently 73 fighters available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, we think they should add like 15 more. via Nintendo Smash Bros There are currently 73 fighters available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with the recent release of . That number will climb to 74 when arrives this November. That's an almost unprecedented number of characters for a fighting game, and one which is only surpassed by Super Street Fight IV Arcade Edition at 78 characters. But Smash Bros doesn't seem to be slowing down. Nintendo keeps adding more characters and even seems to be planning . Smash fans are already shouting for modern classic game characters like Dante from Devil May Cry, Sora from Kingdom Hearts, and Phoenix Wright from his self-named series of DS and mobile games. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Which is all well and good, but what about the unsung video game characters of days gone by? Who is clamoring for the return of Glover? Who advocates for another appearance of Adrianne Avenicci? Who defends Dig Dug, or the Paperboy, or the guy from Excite Bike? When will they get their rightful place in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? And while we’re at it, here’s a few more Smash Bros. characters that nobody asked for.

Q*bert

via Disney Qbert If Smash Bros can make Pac Man into a fighting character, then the mad geniuses over at Nintendo can do the same thing to another classic video game character. Q*bert might be 27 years old (which makes him an absolute dinosaur by game standards) but he's feisty.

Dig Dug

via Wallpaper Stock Dig Dug What could be more dangerous than a man with a bicycle pump? Well... probably any of the various fireball-throwing, gun-toting, or sword-wielding warriors from Smash Bros. Be that as it may, Dig Dug was an era-defining arcade box hero that needs to be further immortalized in Smash.

Vectorman

via Sega Vectorman Back in the day, animating the third dimension was a real challenge for console systems. Most got around it with tricks of perspective, but Vectorman was an actual 3D-rendered model that was then animated in the form of sprites. And that deserves a Smash nod, right?

Toejam & Earl

via Limited Run Games Toejam and Earl For some reason, these two hopelessly lost aliens have come back . Maybe it's the fact the '90s are considered "retro" these days. Whatever the reason, it'd be easy to explain how Toejam & Earl just "crashed into the battle" due to their faulty spaceship.

The Contra Dudes

via The Fwoosh Contra Dudes Believe it or not, these two meatheads do have names: Bill Rizer and Lance Bean. Unfortunately, they're also very clearly based on Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, and the odds of either of them allowing their likeness to be used in a Smash game seems remote.

The Resident Evil 4 Merchant

Whaddya buyin'?

Claptrap

via Gearbox Claptrap Borderlands 3 just came out. Claptrap is the spokesrobot of the entire Borderlands franchise. What could be better than a Smash/Borderlands crossover to celebrate the release of the newest, bestest looter/shooter? On top of that, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford would love to have .

Nurse Joy

via Comic Book Nurse Joy Don't let Nurse Joy's motherly and calm demeanor fool you: she'll ruin your day. Either by sending her Chansey into battle or by actually billing you for all the medical services you'll require post-match.

Ness Mom

via Dorkly Ness Mom Ness is in the game already, so why not Ness Mom? She can even be an Echo Fighter of Ness. But maybe with a bat instead of a yoyo as her weapon of choice.

Leisure Suit Larry

via Sony Leisure Suit Larry There is absolutely no special attack this character can have that would ever be allowed in a Nintendo game. All of them involve far too many fluids.

The Player Character From Skyrim

via Know Your Meme Skyrim Meme If Skyrim can get a Switch release, then the last Dragonborn can be in Smash Bros. Just imagine every match starting with a fade-in from black and then this Nord getting all up in your face.

The Homeworld Mothership

via Gearbox Homeworld Motherwship It'd probably be difficult to insert the Mothership into a Smash Bros. map, but Homeworld deserves its day. Its special attack could be a flight of bombers or creating a small fleet of frigates that then start circling opponents and blasting them with lasers.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro yes he s in a game

via Steam Bolsomito 2k18 If you're in a game, you can be in Smash Bros. And since Bolsonaro is in his very own , Bolsimito 2K18 (which may have even played a role in getting the far-right President elected), then he can be in Smash.

Waluigi

via Know Your Meme Waluiigi Nobody has asked for Waluigi to be in Smash Bros. Why is that? It seems like he'd have a large number of advocates, considering how . Wonder what's up with that?
