Via: blizzard.com The Masters Tour at Seoul is about to , hosting over 350 players from August 16 to 18 competing for a total prize pool of $500,000. As the first competitive event following the release of Saviors of Uldum on August 6, we are finally going to see what the best decks are in a tournament setting. Hopes are high that we will be seeing some new and unique decks, though Control Warrior still looks to be dominant in the meta, along with Secret and Mech Hunter, Murloc Paladin, Big Spell and Highlander Mage, and a few others. Some are wondering if we will see any powerful Quest decks, as they seem to be lacking in the meta following the release of the expansion. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Via: blizzard.com

Where To Watch

English – Mandarin – Korean – Japanese – Russian – Portuguese - Latin American Spanish - Casting the event is none other than Dan “Frodan” Chou, Brian “Brian Kibler” Kibler, Jia “Jia” Dee, and Darroch “Darroch” Brown. The format for the tournament will be Specialist, which is being phased out of other competitive events in favor of a return to Conquest with a pick and a ban phase, also known as a Shield Phase. Each day will consist of slight variations in play: Day 1: Seven rounds of Swiss. Day 2: Players with four or more match wins will play through five more rounds of Swiss. The Top 8 players will advance to two dual-tournament format groups and play their initial rounds. Day 3: The Top 8 players will return to finish out the tournament. Via: blizzard.com As usual, matches are kept to a best-of-three format, with the exception of both semifinals and finals which are switched to a best-of-five. Be sure to check out the tournament schedule for more details. Finally, Twitch Drops are making a return for this stop in the Masters Tour. Like before, viewers can can earn one Saviors of Uldum pack for watching three hours of the broadcast on any official channel. Watching for a total of 6 hours will award one additional pack. In addition, 1,500 eligible viewers will be randomly selected to receive Classic card packs every hour. Viewers should make sure that their and Battle.net accounts have been linked, otherwise the rewards will not be given. Players need not watch all three or six hours at once, as the site will track your time viewed for you. Check back following the conclusion of the event for a detailed summary of the final competitors and an analysis of the decks used. Hopefully we will see some innovative play at this stop on the Masters Tour and not more of the same old decks from the previous expansion.
