Finally, however, the Reignited Trilogy will be released on the Switch on September 3 - but it seems that there might be a catch. Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage and Spyro: Year of the Dragon will need to be downloaded after the fact, a report that is backed up by a listing of the game on . The claims 6.3GB of space will be needed for the game, but apparently, that doesn't represent the trilogy's whole size. Once you have also downloaded the game's sequels, a further 9GB of space will be taken up on your Switch. So why is this? The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, including all of the game's DLC, will fit onto one cartridge. We would be willing to bet a lot of money that Wild Hunt will require a lot more space than Spyro, even if you account for the entire trilogy. The likelihood is that Activision won't put Spyro on one cartridge rather than it not being able to do so. There are now 32GB Switch cartridges, so the Reignited Trilogy can definitely fit on one. However, that would require the price of the game being increased, as games on 32GB cartridges tend to clock in closer to the $59.99 mark. Spyro, meanwhile, will retail for $39.99. If being forced to download two out of three games in a trilogy doesn't bother you, you'll be able to get your hands on Spyro: Reignited Trilogy when it's released next month.
