Though few in Metal Gear Solid are truly innocent, Revolver Ocelot did quite a few questionable things throughout the series. Revolver Ocelot is one of most complicated characters. He starts off as a soulless villain, but his role becomes greyer as the series goes on and the bigger picture reveals itself. Regardless of whether or not his goals align with the player in any particular game, he is always doing something morally corrupt. The following list will detail the ten worst things he does throughout the franchise. This will also include transgressions he commits while under Liquid Snake's control. Metal Gear Solid Tortures Meryl

Meryl Twin Snakes Ocelot is an unrepentant fan of Torture. About halfway through the first three-dimensional outing, Snake and Meryl fall into enemy hands. Afterward, he gives Snake an intense bout of electrical shock torture. What makes this more sinister is his threat to the protagonist. If Snake cannot endure the pain or refuses to corporate, Meryl won't live to see the end of the story. Meryl's life is in the player's hands, and if she doesn't survive, it is one hundred percent their fault. Ultimately, however, it is Ocelot who makes up the twisted bargain.

It's in this same scene where Ocelot develops his affinity for the inhumane act of torture.

Metal Gear Solid 2 ocelot on the tanker taking Ray starts with Snake infiltrating a Marine tanker. Immediately afterward, rogue Russian soldiers seize the boat with the intention of stealing the Metal Gear Ray onboard. Revolver Ocelot is also with them, having teamed up with the unit's commander, Sergei Gurlukovich. Once they have captured the weapon, Ocelot turns the tables on everyone, revealing he is taking Ray for himself. He kills Gurlukovich, blows up the tanker, and escapes inside the walking tank. He also had no concern for Olga Gurlukovich, who was pregnant at the time. Killing is always low, but endangering a woman who is expecting a child is especially dastardly.

At this point, the organization is able to manipulate battlefields as well as world economies and politics. At the end of act three, he finally achieves his goal, where he celebrates the milestone by massacring almost every soldier in sight. Fortunately, everything works out by the end of the game, but those poor victims can never be brought back to life.

After capturing the fortress, Ocelot once again stabs his comrade in the back, stealing the information regarding the Patriots' location. At this point, it is believed he is an agent for them. Only years later do players find out he was searching for his own way to destroy the shadowy organization.

Kills Fortune

Metal Gear Solid 2 Fortune on Big Shell Along with betraying Solidus comes the betrayal of Dead Cell, whose only living member at the time is Fortune. Vamp is discovered to still be living, but, during that cinematic, he is also believed to be deceased. While atop Arsenal Gear, the sharpshooter manages to hit Fortune with a bullet, something previously thought impossible. As she is dying, he explains Fortune's powers as the Patriots' doing. Mysteriously, she is somehow able to deflect Ray's rockets as he launches them towards the characters. In retrospect, not everything about the encounter makes sense, but it wouldn't be Metal Gear if everything had sound logic.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Uses His Own Army As Guinea Pigs

The first two acts in MGS4 end with tests trying to release Liquid Ocelot's PMCs from battlefield control. Both times end with most soldiers going insane as all the repressed stress and guilt of battle simultaneously releases, proving too much for the people to handle. Liquid has little concern over his own army's well being, and even shows signs of glee as his employees start massacring each other or immediately drop dead.

Metal Gear Solid V Lets Everyone In The Hospital Die

MGS V phantom pain hospital introduction Ocelot and Big Boss were fully aware of the incoming attack at the hospital at the beginning of , yet they didn't warn anybody. As a result, nearly everyone inside, most of whom were innocent, perish during the assault. Their only concern was helping the medic, who at that point believed himself to be Big Boss, escape the hospital intact. Those poor souls were victims of the decades-long battle between Major Zero and Big Boss.

Metal Gear Solid 2 Kills The President

Metal Gear Solid 2 president Johnson The terrorists in The Sons of Liberty managed to kidnap President James Johnson. Raiden successfully contacts him and discovers he has cooperated with the terrorists in an attempt to spite the Patriots. At the end of their meeting, the leader of the free world tasks the protagonist with taking his life. Raiden resists, but Ocelot walks in and does the deed himself. Mysteriously, Ocelot doesn't fight or injure the player. The hero later learns this is all a part of the enigmatic villain's plan.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Almost Destroys Modern Society

Metal Gear Solid 4 last boss fight After taking control of the Sons of the Patriots system, Ocelot plans to destroy the other AI controlling society. Snake manages to upload a virus derailing Liquid Ocelot's plan, but the antagonist says he let Snake do this since it still ended up destroying the Patriots. Liquid Ocelot dies believing the world has just been plunged into chaos. Fortunately, Olga's daughter, Sunny, managed to change the virus to retain the world's infrastructure while still eliminating the Patriots.
