It's a fun activity to play with friends and family and a pretty easy and good way to kill some time. As fun as gaming is, it can be a pretty expensive hobby, especially with most tabletop games. But with the board gaming industry changing and the rise of more indie companies and kickstarters there have been new and less expensive games for tabletop lovers to sink their teeth into. "Print and Play" games have made game collecting a lot more affordable and have put hundreds of titles right at the fingertips of gamers. Print and Play are games that can be downloaded, with printable game pieces, and are often free. There are tons of them out there but here are 10 of the best ones you can make at home. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

The Metagame

For anyone that loves Cards Against Humanity but wants a game with less... shock value, is the perfect party game to break the ice. The game is all about having an opinion and sharing them with friends and family, with 200 culture cards featuring historic examples of culture from Michelangelo's David to Matt Groening's The Simpsons. It also comes with 100 opinion cards and 7 unique ways to play that can allow for up to 50 players! It's possible to buy The Metagame and its different expansion packs that include topics on films, sci-fi, and gaming. Or you can download the base game for free and get a good look into how those close to you think.

The Dungeon Of D

Anyone who loves games like might enjoy this one. is a free dungeon-crawling card game where you play as a hero, tasked with retrieving a powerful item known as the Amulet of D'eugor, that is the only thing that can stop the power of the Black Knight and his dark forces. Unfortunately, this amulet is in a dungeon full of dangerous things that won't make it easy for the player to return with the amulet. Unlike tabletop games like, there's no dice to roll! Just cards, character tokens, and a dungeon. There's also no difficulty in getting everyone's schedules to match up as it's a single-player game.

Witch Hunt

Just in time for Halloween, is a great Print and Play game that can be enjoyed with a group of friends. Published by Good Little Games, the object of the game is to find witches or keep yourself from being found by villagers. After a series of strange occurrences, the people of a small village are swept up in a tide of suspicion and accusations as they suspect witchcraft is afoot. What makes this game different from other 'hidden role' games is that players get to choose whether they're a witch or a villager as each card has the option for both.

Expedition

plays like many other as players take on the role of a character and go on an adventure that includes battling enemies and gaining loot. Players select their character from a deck of roles and follow what is written on the cards for their abilities. You can Print and Play the cards needed, but you also need a D20 and something to track your health with, like a paperclip. There's even an app to help you play and give out quests and adventures, though you can also download the quests for offline use and even create your own!

Zombie In My Pocket

In the goal is to search for an item called a totem that has the power to raise people from the dead, turning them into a zombie. It's up to you to find this totem and bury it to destroy the zombies and save the world. Though you'll have to fight off hordes of the undead to become the hero you were always meant to be, using items like golf clubs and machetes to improvise weapons! If you enjoy the Print and Play version and want to play with your friends, there's a multiplayer version by Cambridge Games Factory.

Karmaka

Karmaka takes the concept of "karma" and turn it into a game where players try to ascend the Karmic Ladder, racing to see who achieves "Transcendence" first. Players start as dung beetles and draw cards, hoping to gain enough points to move up the ladder. They collect cards that they can stash for their "next life" and use other cards to sabotage other players. Be warned, what goes around comes around, as after a sabotage card is played that player gets to take and put it in their stash for their next life, which is their next hand.

Good Little Hunters

is another game published by Good Little Games and makes the harrowing fight for survival between animals a fun, and exciting game. This card game can be played with up to 5 players, each one controlling a pack of 5 different animals that consist of a bear, wolf, fox, crow, and mouse, who each have a different number rank. The aim of the game is to be the player with the most food at the end of a season by surviving or hunting other player's animals. Its a little like the card game Go Fish, but with a twist, and is a game that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

Two Rooms And Boom

In this game, everyone gets to play and it takes less than 20 minutes to finish a match. Players are divided into 2 teams and given that put them on either the Blue or Red Teams. The Blue Team has a character card called "The President" and the Red has one called "The Bomber." The players are evenly divided and sent to two separate rooms. While there, players select a leader for each round and the leader picks a "hostage" who gets sent to the other room. At the end of the game, players reveal their cards to one another and if "The Bomber" and "The President" are in the same room Red Team wins. If they aren't, Blue Team wins.

Monikers

Monikers is like a few guessing games rolled into one. In this party game, you and your friends have 60 seconds to guess the name on another's player card. There are 3 rounds, in the first round players are free to speak their minds to try and clue their teammates to the word written on the card. However, in the second round, they are limited to only one-word clues, and the third there's no talking at all, they can only do charades. There are several different expansion packs that can be played alone, but there is also a version available on the Monikers' website.

Funemployed

There are few things more stressful than going to your first job interview. You have about 30 minutes or less to make a good impression and convince someone that you're the best candidate for the job out of hundreds of other people. The game takes that stressful situation and turns into a much more fun game of quick thinking and improvisation. Players are handed 4 random cards and are tasked with using them to build their resume and convince the "Manager" player that they are qualified for a particular job. Now, a normal person would never put any of these "qualifications" on a resume, with the cards having things like "Allergic to Everything" and "Dingo Repellent."
