Final Fantasy 7 boasts a fantastic cast of characters, so we're diving in to learn all about them -- including their ages, heights, and birthdays! was one of the most influential games in Square Enix’s history. When it was first released on the PlayStation in 1997, the game sent ripples through the roleplaying genre and the video game industry as a whole. Naturally, a remake is on the way for the PlayStation 4. There are plenty of gamers who are familiar with the title based on the name alone but never played the original. Not only was it graphically impressive, but the sheer scope of the world and its characters left a mark on anyone who has played it. This list was updated to include a few more notable characters that are important to the main story of Final Fantasy VII. While looking through the list of main characters and supporting ones, we felt it necessary to add a few more entries to give even more information about this fan-favorite game. Cloud Strife Age 21 Height 5 7 Birthday August 11 1986

Cloud Strife was born on August 11, 1986, and is 21 years old in FF7. He is 5’7” or 173 cm. Cloud is considered a well-rounded character in gameplay. His signature weapon is the iconic Buster Sword, and his Limit Breaks involve swordsmanship moves and powerful finishers. Cloud is the main character of FF7 and one of the most recognizable characters from the Final Fantasy franchise. The stoic blonde is an ex-SOLDIER who became a mercenary. When he gets involved with eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE, Cloud learns more about himself, his past and the evil machinations of Shinra and Sephiroth.

Zack Fair's exact birthday remains a mystery, but his age is around 23. Zack is one of the taller characters in the entire game, towering over Cloud by 7 inches, standing at around 6'2". Zack doesn't have a ton of representation in the original Final Fantasy VII but was later cast as the main character in the prequel, Crisis Core. Zack's role in the story of FF7 is extremely important in developing both Cloud and Aerith as characters and is responsible for Cloud's stoic personality, choppy memories, and the iconic weapon, the Buster Sword.

Her Limit Breaks utilize martial arts techniques to deliver a devastating blow to the enemy. Tifa is the childhood friend of Cloud and the martial artist/monk of the party. The corporation Shinra Electric Power Company, or just Shinra, was responsible for destroying Tifa and Cloud’s hometown Nibelheim. She joined AVALANCHE to avenge Nibelheim and harbors a deep rage despite her soft and kind personality.

Sephiroth Age 27 Height 6 1 Birthday Unknown

Sephiroth is 27 years old in FF7, standing at 6’1” or 185 cm. The Final Fantasy Wiki doesn't list Sephiroth’s birthday. Since he’s six years older than Cloud, he may have been born in 1981. His signature weapon is the Masamune. Sephiroth is the main antagonist of FF7 and the archnemesis of Cloud Strife. The One-Winged Angel used to be a celebrated member of SOLDIER and Shinra’s golden boy. After learning about his true origins and his connection to an entity called Jenova, he went insane. The super SOLDIER dedicated his life to destroying Planet.

Aerith Gainsborough Age 22 Height 5 3 Birthday February 7 1985

Aerith Gainsborough was born on February 7, 1985, and is 22 years old. She is 5’3” or 163 cm. Aerith uses staves and operates like a white mage. She can cast defensive spells, ally buffs, and major healing magic. Aerith serves an important role in the story of (don’t worry, no spoilers here). She met Cloud in Midgar while she was selling flowers on the street. Known sometimes as the Flower Girl, she is a carefree personality who, like Tifa, is kind to others. When it comes to Cloud, she is pretty flirtatious and close. Unfortunately, she is popular for a particular scene in the original game; one can wonder how SquareEnix is going to recreate that in the remake.

Barret Wallace Age 35 Height ~6 5 Birthday December 15 1972

Barret Wallace was born on December 15, 1972 and is 35 years old in FF7. He is 6’4” to 6’6” or 197 cm.As shown with his appearance, Barret’s signature weapon is his gun-arm. This makes Barret a ranged character, capable of raining bullets on his opponents. His Limit Breaks consist of artillery-based moves. Barret is a man of similar but conflicting goals and attitudes. On one hand, he wants to spend the rest of his days raising his daughter Marlene. On the other hand, he wants to crush Shinra for all the damage they have caused to Planet and others. These issues are one of the many things the gruff leader of AVALANCHE has to deal with.

Marlene Wallace Age 4 Height Unknown Birthday 2003

Marlene Wallace is four years old, born sometime around 2003. She is the adopted daughter of Barret Wallace after his friends Dyne and Eleanor were killed by the Shinra Electric Power Company. She can be seen in Tifa's 7th Heaven bar which serves as the meeting place for AVALANCHE. She isn't seen much throughout the rest of the story of Final Fantasy VII but is the key driving force in Wallace's determination to take out Shinra and save the planet.

Reno Age Unknown Height ~5 7 Birthday Unknown

Reno is a side character in Final Fantasy VII belonging to an organization called the "Turks", who act as officers for the Shinra Electric Power Company. While Reno's age and birthday are unknown, he looks to be about Cloud's age, which would place him somewhere in his early '20s. His height is also unknown, but we can estimate it by looking at him next to other characters. In the movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Reno seems to share another similarity to Cloud, so he's somewhere around 5'7".

Rude Age Unknown Height ~6 0 Birthday Unknown

Rude is another member of the Turks that is usually seen as partners with Reno. He often appears alongside him as a mini-boss encounter within the main story but is later shown to have apprehension towards confronting AVALANCHE, as he has feelings for Tifa. He actually will not damage Tifa if she is engaged in battle with him. His age and birthday are also unknown, but it's safe to assume that he's a bit older than someone like Reno. His exact height is also a mystery, but he seems quite a bit taller than Reno in Advent Children, so he's likely around the 6'0" range.

Cid Highwind Age 32 Height ~5 9 Birthday February 22 1975

Cid Highwind was born on February 22, 1975, and is 32 years old in FF7. He is 5’8” to 5’10” or 178 cm. Cid’s role in the game is reminiscent of the Dragoon class. He wields spears as his main weapon, does high jump techniques and hits multiple enemies when he makes an impact. His Limit Break also involves spear attacks and Dragoon techniques. In the story, Cid is a brash, crude and kind-hearted mechanical scientist. He joins Cloud’s party after Shinra executives attempted to steal one of his prized ships. Cid had dreams of sending a rocket into space. He is never seen without a cigarette in his mouth.

Vincent Valentine Age 57 Height 6 0 Birthday October 13 1950

Vincent Valentine was born on October 13, 1950, and is 57 years old. He is 6’0” or 184 cm. Vincent utilizes a handgun in his combat. Vincent is commonly associated with vampire iconography, even though he is not a vampire. Ironically enough, his Limit Break has him transform into an uncontrollable werewolf-like beast. Vincent is an optional playable character in . If the player travels through Shinra’s mansion, they can gain access to Vincent after defeating a boss. The character was sleeping in a coffin to atone for his “sins” and initially wasn’t going to join the party. Cloud confirms that he and the party are going to confront Professor Hojo, and he agrees to join. Vincent is also the one who tells the party about Sephiroth’s origins.

Yuffie Kisaragi Age 16 Height ~5 2 Birthday November 20 1991

Yuffie Kisaragi was born on November 20, 1991, and is 16 years old in FF7. She is 5’2” to 5’3” and 160 cm. Part of the ninja and thief class, Yuffie specializes in multi-hit ranged attacks. Her Limit Breaks reflect the same nature. Yuffie’s signature weapon is the 4-Point Shuriken. Yuffie is an optional playable character alongside Vincent Valentine. Hailing from the land of Wutai, this Materia Hunter joins the main cast to restore glory to her country. Like most locations in the game, Wutai was conquered by Shinra and changed drastically. Yuffie is considered obnoxious but optimistic.

Cait Sith & Red XIII Age 48 Height 3 2 & 3 9 Birthday 1959

Cait Sith is a 3’2” cat creature that rides a big stuffed Moogle. Its birthday and age are unknown. Cait uses megaphones as weapons. Their spells and attacks consist of chance-based ally buffs or enemy attacks. Cait Sith worked as a fortune-teller in the Gold Saucer before joining Cloud’s party in FF7; his intentions were initially unknown. Red XIII is 48 years old and was born in 1959. Despite his chronological age, he is considered a teenager mentally. His height is 3’9”. Red dons headdresses to increase his damage and stats in battle. He also boasts the highest speed out of all the playable characters. He was an experimented on by Professor Hojo and wishes to go back to being a protector of the Planet.

Rufus Shinra Age 25 Height Unknown Birthday Unknown

Rufus Shinra is 25 years old. His birthday and height are unknown. Rufus is the son of President Shinra and the vice-president of Shinra. He is a major antagonist in the Final Fantasy VII franchise with intentions of conquering the world with Shinra. According to Aerith, “I've heard that no one's ever seen him bleed or cry.” He has a one-on-one fight against Cloud, and like the party, pursues Sephiroth.
