PRESENTED BY Rumor has it that folks in the state of Texas take their college football pretty seriously. The Lone Star State has several prominent programs within its borders such as Texas, Texas A&M, TCU, Baylor, Texas Tech and several others. For a long time, UT was the most successful football program in the state. But lately, times have changed. Baylor, TCU and Texas A&M all currently find themselves in the , while the Longhorns are on the outside looking in. So fandom in the state should sway with the results on the field, right? Well, not so fast. Earlier this week, Remington Research Group released some statistics on which college football team is most popular in separate regions of Texas. Here are the results: We run this state! — University Co-op (@universitycoop) Though the majority of the map is burnt orange, the actual numbers aren't as overwhelmingly in the Longhorns' favor as the map would seem to suggest. Texas fans make up 32 percent of the state. Texas A&M comes in at 16 percent, while Baylor (7.3 percent), Texas Tech (6.8 percent) and TCU (6.7 percent) round out the top five.
